Ablaze Mirror Imaging, an Australian manufacturer of bathroom mirrors using
Australian made glass and conforming to AS2208 became part of Thermogroup
in 2012. All Australian made mirrors have a 12 month warranty against foil creep.
Ablaze has been manufacturing mirrors for over 15 years and we have added a
range of high quality mirrors from Europe to complement the range along with
our existing range of backlit mirrors, mirror de-misters, shaving mirrors and
shaving cabinets. The range also includes imported art deco mirrors as well as a
contractor range of mirrors.
Our emphasis on personal service from the very conception of a project through
to the fully backed warranty period ensures customers come back time after time.
Extensive finished stock of standard products is on hand, meaning we are often
able to offer same day despatch. We have the ability to custom make special sizes
and designs according to customer requirements. The lead time on make to order
mirrors is 2-3 weeks from order confirmation.

GUARANTEE INFORMATION
Thermogroup covers all its products with a satisfaction guarantee. In addition Thermogroup will supply a replacement product where a fault is shown
to be caused by faulty manufacture, materials or workmanship providing the goods have been installed correctly & according to the installation
instructions. This Guarantee does not include removal, freight or installation costs. Thermogroup products come with Guarantees that cannot
be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law & you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure & compensation for any other
reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and
the failure does not amount to a major failure.
DAMAGE POLICY
Thermogroup are committed to supplying quality long lasting products that meet current standards. All Ablaze Mirrors are carefully manufactured,
quality checked and packaged using rubber corner protectors and a specially designed high density polystyrene channel to ensure they arrive to you
in good condition. Mirrors need to be checked immediately upon delivery for any transit damage which must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Due to the sensitive nature of these products, damage claims after this time cannot be honoured.

Ablaze Signature Range
Ablaze Signature Range Mirrors are manufactured from Australian made glass and comply with Australian Standard
AS2208. Mirrors have a vinyl back to prevent shattering and provide added protection. All models can be made in
custom sizes to suit client’s needs. Mirrors are available with various fixing options such as screw-to-wall, batten fix
(vertical or horizontal) or glue-to-wall. Standard fixing on all mirrors is glue-to-wall and mirrors are supplied as
such unless otherwise specified.
SUSAN SERIES
Susan Series mirrors are made from 6mm
Viridian silver and have a 30mm polished bevel
edge. Standard mounting is glue-to-wall. Also
available with screw-to-wall and vertical or
horizontal batten fix.

chrome caps supplied with screw-to-wall mirrors can be replaced with gold or satin finish upon request. Custom
sizes available for all Signature Range Mirrors.

CLEAR FLOAT SERIES
The Clear Float Series combines a 4mm silver
mirror on a 6mm clear glass backing creating a truly
contemporary look. The toughened clear glass has
a unique 10mm bevel edge. The mirror has a 20mm
bevel and is 200mm smaller than the clear glass
creating a 100mm border around the mirror.
The batten mounting timber is
mechanically fixed & bolted to
the clear glass for added strength.

backing which creates a feature in any bathroom.

Flinders Range
The Flinders Series is made from 6mm Viridian silver with a 30mm reverse bevel
and is vinyl backed to comply with AS2208. The bevel is coloured to match your
bathroom décor. With the ability to match any standard paint colour or special
effect, this range will add the finishing touch to any project.
Mirrors in this series are available in any custom size and can be screw-to-wall,
batten fix or glue-to-wall.

Custom Sandblasting Service
We have the expertise and equipment to custom sandblast mirrors as required. These enhanced designs can
be one-offs or an exclusive range for your store.
Individualise any mirror! Logos, images and patterns can be etched into your mirror, limited only by
your imagination.

Ablaze Aluminum Framed Range
Aluminium Framed Mirrors can be custom made to any size, are easy to maintain
and clean, and can be made in virtually any colour to suit your decor. The frame
protects the edge of the Mirror, avoiding any chance of foil creep or rust.
Standard fixing is glue-to-wall with a neutral cure mirror silicone,
however screw-to-wall or hanger options are available on request.

Designed for the budget conscious, the contractor range of mirrors are made of 5mm imported glass but still have
the vinyl backing conforming to Australian Standard AS2208. Available only in a fixed range of sizes and hanging

Mirox Range
The Mirox range of mirrors are manufactured from Mirox 3G, which is a unique patented mirror surface. This third
generation range of mirrors has made significant progress and improvements over traditional mirror manufacturing
processes in terms of quality, ecology, resistance, handling and performance.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR MIRROR
Mirrors require special cleaning care. To clean mirrors, simply wipe over the surface with a few drops of methylated
spirits on a damp cloth. Polish surface dry with a lint free cloth.
Some proprietary glass cleaners can cause damage to the silvering as can excessive amounts of water.
Make certain when cleaning the face of the mirror that there is no contact with the silver backing, particularly
at the edge of the glass and be careful to keep any moisture away from the paint backing of the mirror.
Do everything possible to ensure that the cleaning cloths used are free of any abrasives.

Ablaze Back-Lit Mirrors feature either a white painted or aluminum back box which is screwed to the wall and
then the mirror hung on the front using hooks secured to the mirror. All LED models include a 12 volt transformer in
the unit and the fluorescent light models connect directly to 240 volt. Wiring is through the centre of the back box
and this needs to be hard wired to a switch in the room either in the light switch panel or centre of the power point.

least 100mm border all around the de-mister pad if
using the glue-to-wall option, to ensure a good
bond between the mirror and the wall.

ThermoMIRROR De-mister and Mirror Packages
Thermomirror mirror de-misters can be used on most of the mirrors in the range depending on the type of fixing.
If you are using batten fix, the Thermomirror needs to be
smaller than the batten area. If you are using glue to wall,
you cannot rely on the bond between the Thermomirror
and wall – you need to have sufficient bond between the
actual mirror and the wall.
It is not necessary to cover the entire back of the mirror
with the de-misting pad, in fact you can make a quite an
attractive feature by using a smaller Thermomirror and
possibly a different shape.

Mirror Care
• When fixing mirrors leave the rubber corners on the
mirror until mirror is fixed to the wall.
• For best results clean mirrors using methylated
spirits and water at a ratio of 30% methylated
spirits and 70% water. DO NOT use Windex or similar
chemical cleaning products.
• Some mirrors are supplied with a protective film.
Do not remove until mirror is installed on the wall.
• Avoid getting water on the back and sides of the
mirror as damage to silver backing can occur.
• Never place mirror down on a hard surface as edges
can chip or crack.
• In coastal areas it is recommend wiping around
the edge of the mirror once a month to avoid salt
build up that can cause silver creep.
• Correct fixing and cleaning care will ensure you have
a mirror that does your bathroom proud!

Z’FOGLESS MIRROR CLEANER
AND ANTI-FOG SOLUTION
A very strong anti-fog formula. When applied to the mirror
it will remain on the mirror and keep it fog free until washed
off. Made in the USA, use it to clean the mirror, then apply
again and smooth out for a fog free mirror experience. Does
not replace Thermomirror (pg 26) but is useful in many
applications: on windows, eyeglasses, mirrors, goggles,
masks and more. 115ml spray bottle.

BIO-CLEAN STAIN REMOVER
Effectively removes water and mineral stains, rust, tree sap,
paint overspray and soap scum from glass and other surfaces.
A professional strength cleaner, recommended for use in
homes, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, supermarkets and
on any difficult to clean, stained surface. Great on shower
doors, windows, windshields, tiles, fiberglass, chrome,
porcelain, hard vinyl, stainless steel, corian, anodized brass

Mirror Fixing
Correct fixing of mirrors to walls, whether they be painted, tiled, smooth finish or timber, is vitally important to
ensure safety and to preserve the life of the mirror. The Ablaze Mirror Range allows for various fixing methods such
as glue-to-wall, screw-to-wall and batten fix (timber hanger) or hanging hooks.
When handling your new mirror never put the mirror down on a hard surface such as a tiled floor. Always rest it on
a towel or soft surface to avoid chipping the edges. Do not remove the rubber protective corners until the mirror is
safely installed on the wall.

The mirror must be installed on a level surface. Max Bond or mirror silicone (not standard
silicone) must be used in conjunction with double sided tape. We recommend the mirror
is propped until the adhesive cures. If using a Thermomirror de-mister pad, make sure you
have sufficient bond between the mirror and the wall and do not rely on bond between
Thermomirror and the wall. Run the adhesive in vertical lines up the mirror back. This
will allow any moisture to run down behind the mirror rather than collect behind the
mirror which will cause damage.

SCREW-TO-WALL FIX
Chrome Caps and Plastic Grommets are provided standard with all screw-on mirrors. Gold and
Satin Chrome Caps as well as Plastic Colored Caps are available upon request.
The lug will expand in the hole to provide a tight fix. When drilling tiles on hard surfaces, we
recommend Thermodrill as they can drill hard tiles without the use of water and do not require
a drill guide. Never over-tighten the screws.
TIMBER BATTEN FIX
Timber batten fix mirrors provide a hidden fixing method whist
allowing mirror to be easily removed as required. The batten must
be secured to the wall with screws and Max Bond can be used in
conjunction with the screws for added strength. For drilling through
tiles, Thermodrill is recommended.
