This has a varied history but more recently it has been a time for friends and family to share a meal and some time together which for some is the only time in the year when this happens. In Australia we have always regarded Christmas as our Thanksgiving and have used this time of the year to spend time together. Our Christmas lunch is an ideal opportunity for us to do that also and I trust you are planning to be there. This year has been a turbulent one for the club with many changes having to be made but I am grateful for the way you have all been patient and supportive throughout this time. Our outing to the Mounted Police and the Grounds was interesting and informative and our small but enthusiastic Movie Appreciation Group enjoyed watching and discussing The Uffizi Gallery. If you are interested in joining the group please contact David Bruce-Steer. As you now know, we are not having a meeting in January. We will provide an opportunity for members to bring along visual memories of past Probus outings to our AGM in March. This means the only chance of getting together before February will be our High Tea at Ball's Head so please come along to that. In February we will be back at Norths so we can begin our year which hopefully will be significantly less disrupted than this one has been. I look forward to seeing you at our Christmas Lunch which has been very well organised by our hard working convenors Ross & Barry.
