Stauff News 5 Stauff News Stauff USA re-organizes the regional sales group International News • Continuous improvement Stauff USA Business still continues to be good in the USA, but not at the levels that we have seen over the past three years. Our warehouse re-organization is now 70% complete with the layout and re-classification of all the bin locations now complete. The final stage will be the “go-live” of the wireless warehouse which is now expected to be late June 2007. With the experience obtained both at the Filtration Division in Ann Arbor and Stauff Canada, we do not expect too many major surprises. We continue to improve our injection molding tools with the arrival of the new molds for the US style twin series Group 3, and the AG-2 and AG-3 Multi-purpose clamps. We are looking at reviewing other product with the potential of moving production back to the USA to help take advantage of the effects of the declining dollar against the Euro. Our organization continues to develop as we strive to improve our response to you, our customer base. • Split of the Sales Team into two groups: OEM and Distribution headed by two seasoned professionals - Mike Gorecki and John Hudson. • The appointment of Jon Robinson as a Product Specialist for Test and Diagnostics which will allow us to put increasing concentration on this important sector of our business and allowing Peter Koch to spend more time on Ball Valves and Accumulators. • The retirement of Catherine Finley after over 22 years of superb service with Stauff. She will be sorely missed by her loyal group of customers. This and other changes that we have needed to make in Customer Service will mean that this Department has a very new look to it. Thank you for your continued support and we try to improve both our service and our product offering to you. We really appreciate your efforts in completing the Customer Satisfaction Surveys and this does help give us direction in areas that we need to improve. Investing in infrastructure and products Stauff Canada Stauff Canada continues to grow even with the extreme challenges that face the Canadian economy with the downturn in the Automotive Sector that is forecast to decline by 2.5 to 3% in 2007. This has had an impact on both the Ontario and Quebec marketplaces. But, thanks to your efforts, we have continued to grow as you find new applications for the Stauff Range of Products. The demands of the Oil Sector in Alberta has certainly given us a nice balancing effect. Even with the talk of gloom in the market, Stauff Canada continues to invest in our infrastructure and product. • We intend to implement a B2B software in the last quarter of 2007 which will allow our distribution direct order entry and stock checking ability. This will surely help as we all look to take costs out of the supply chain. • We will continue to add new product and services to our existing range with the new range of clamps designed for the mobile market, new transducers (later in 2007) and test kits. On the personnel side, we have also had some events of note: • Curtis Barnes, from the warehouse and his wife Tammy gave birth to a daughter Aalijah - Congratulations to them! • John Ibasco, from Customer Service took the plunge and married Tess in March 2007. • A special mention need also to go to Brett O'Neill who passed another milestone by completing his 12th year with Stauff Canada. Brett was one of our original employees when Stauff Canada was started in 1995. • Congratulations also to Andrew Parkins from the warehouse who will be attending Centennial College in the Fluid Power Technologist Program in September 2007. Effective January 1, 2007, the Stauff Regional Sales Group was re-structured into two groups. • An OEM Group to focus more on the Global OEM Accounts operating in North America under the leadership of Mike Gorecki. • A Distribution Group to focus more on the needs of our distributor Partners led by John Hudson.
