Relaxing time and in the sunset you will enjoy a historical summarizing tour, from the
Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Great Hall of the People, Grand National Theater, Zhongnan
Hai (Central Government leadership compound) and other cultural and historical sites, when the
daylight metropolis change in the bustling night.
The dinner is in a Buddhist restaurant where you can experience vegetarian food in a mystic
atmosphere.

Day n° 3
After buffet breakfast at the Hotel your first
full day in Beijing will take you along the
hutong, the small ancient lanes around the
Forbidden City, that you will visit on a
traditional pedicab.
Lunch will be held in a typical Beijing
dumpling restaurant, where you will experience
local traditional northern china specialities.
Afternoon will be dedicated to visit
Panjiayuan, a giant flea market where every
imaginable curio, artifact and fake Tang dynasty
knock-off is on sale and you will be instructed
to the art of bargain.
Following, you will have some spiritual rest
in The White Cloud Temple, "The Three Great
Ancestral Courts" of the Complete Perfection
School of Taoism, and titled "The First Temple
under Heaven", where you will take part to an
introduction course of Taiqi Quan, the martial
art practiced for both its defense training and
its health benefits.

honor to taste Beijing Roast Duck, one of the

Day n° 4
After an early morning breakfast we will fly to Datong, the “Capital of Coal”, the second largest
city in Shanxi province with large reserves of coal.
After check in at hotel, you will experience a private visit of a coal mine that has been in
producing coal for more than 1000 years. The mine is more than 300 meters deep with coal that
formed over 140 million years ago. Lunch.
In the afternoon you will get back in the history in the famous Buddhist Yungang Grottos, the
oldest one of the three major cave clusters in China, one of the world heritage.
Datong is mainly famous for its various wheaten food, so that you can enjoy a noodle dinner:
there are more than 100 kind of different noodle soups, with dozens of different seasoning.

Day n° 5
After hotel buffet breakfast, you
will start your early morning visit to
Hanging Monastery, Suspending
Temple, built precariously on sheer
cliffs above Jinlong Canyon, the
monastery dates back more than
1400 years. Its halls and pavilions
were built along the contours of the
cliff face using the natural hollows
and outcrops. Lunch.
On the way back a must should be the visit of a typical rural village of old northern China
featuring mud-packed cave like houses, water wells, crops and sheeps. The living environment is
harsh.
Dinner is sweet-smelling Datong Instant Boiled Lamb, famous all over China for its four big
characters- attractively shaped, fresh, tender, and delicious. While eating, people first grab a piece
of lamb with chopsticks and put it into the boiled water for just one or two seconds. And then put
the cooked lamb piece into a bowl of sauce which is made of sesame paste, chili oil, balsam, soy
sauce, gourmet powder, and coriander and so on.

Day n° 6
After hotel breakfast, early morning departure by luxury coach to
Pingyao, being one of the four wholly-protected ancient cities in China
After check-in and lunch at Yide hotel, located in a beautiful
renovated courtyard house built in 1736 by a wealthy merchant during
the reign of Emperor Qianlong, you can have some relax and go for a
walk on the old street of the ancient town, enjoy the peaceful morning
and meet the locals sweeping the street or opening their stores' wooden
door panels.
In the afternoon you will go back in the past and visit the
Rishengchang Exchange Shop (or piaohao in Chinese), considered the
first draft bank in China's history, founded in Qing Dynasty(1823). Now
the site has transformed into a mini museum to record the modern
banking system of China during 19 and 20th century.
Courtyard western cafes will provide you an afternoon option for tea
or coffee break.
In the evening, dine in the courtyard where all red lanterns are lit up
to settle a peaceful and romantic atmosphere.

A special program will welcome you in day 7: wake up in
the traditional Chinese bed, in an old style furnished luxury
room and, after breakfast, mount on the enclosed wall of
Pingyao for a view of the whole fortress-like town with
hundreds of courtyard houses within.
Visit the "Family Wang's Great Courtyard" - nicknamed
the Forbidden City of Shanxi. It is a fortress like courtyard
complex, which is worth walking around more than half day
After typical Shanxi lunch with kaolaolao, Pingyao beef
and other exceptional snacks, with luxury coach you will get
back to Taiyuan and get ready for evening flight back to
Beijing.

After early morning breakfast, you will enjoy your last day in the Middle Reign visiting one of
its symbol: the Great Wall: built to protect China from the incursions of predatory nomads, the
construction of the Great Wall (Changcheng) started in the 7th century BC during the Qin Dynasty,
making it over 2,500 years old. We will visit a private section that is generally closed to the public
with almost no tourists.
A luxury picnic lunch will be provided.
In the late afternoon you will be back to the capital and after a few hours free time to stroll
around you get ready for Beijing Opera, a gorgeous night experience with one of the most refined
form of opera in the world.
