The Early Literacy Center
Baby Lapsit: (Ages Birth – 24 Months; Storytime Room)
The space inside the Storytime Room will be open for
playing, reading, singing, talking, and writing after the
11:00 a.m. storytime. We encourage you to take the
opportunity to explore the Learning Spots (changed
monthly) with your children and socialize with
other caregivers.
Following the story, babies can play with our educational toys while caregivers visit.

An interactive storytime session for preschool children and their caregivers to practice new skills
incorporating books, songs, rhymes, movement, and more!
Get Ready with Elsie & Eddie!: (Children Entering Kindergarten Fall 2016; Sage Room)
Join us for a new weekly kindergarten readiness program that will use a mix of modern and traditional
methods of learning, including iPads and books. We'll focus on skills that will help children prepare for
kindergarten. No sign-up required, but space may be limited.
Stories On My Own: (Ages 3-5 Years; Sage Room)
For older preschool children to practice sitting, listening, following directions, and interacting with others
their age in a group setting without their caregivers.

Sculpt-A-Saurus with Denver
Museum of Nature and Science
Young Writers Workshop
Take a journey of discovery and creation
using real fossil evidence to sculpt your very
own dinosaurs. Sculpt-a-saurus introduces
learners to scientific methodology as well
as paleontology, fossilization, erosion,
adaptation, and climate.

the summer. All entries will be displayed
