THE
SLATOR STORY
The Slator was invented by a trio of roofer/remodelers
from Lynchburg, Virginia who desired an easier, faster and safer
way to make roof repairs on SLATE or ASPHALT SHINGLE roofs. “The
Slator securely anchors a ladder to a roof and also serves as an OSHA
compliant anchor point for fall protection. It helps us set up
our safety anchors and access systems much more quickly
so that we can spend more time doing our work, and
less time getting there. We trust that it will do the
same for you. Best wishes and stay safe!”

THE RED SLATOR
ROOF BRACKET
THE BLUE
SLATOR-MINI
The red SLATOR has incredible ladder clamping strength and may
also serve as an OSHA compliant anchor point for fall protection for 1
person and gear under 310 pounds when installed and used according
to the manufacturer’s directions.
The blue SLATOR-MINI has the same incredible ladder clamping strength as the red
SLATOR and is designed to be used in situations where there are other fall protection
systems in place. IT IS NOT AN ANCHOR POINT. This is the best device for holding a ladder
in a specific location if you don’t want anyone anchoring fall protection in that location for safety reasons.
INDUSTRY LEADERS ARE SAYING:
“In my roofing career of over forty years, I have never seen such a simple, yet ingenious low-cost product which saves us money on our labor costs
while enabling us to perform our work much more safely at the same time. Thank you very much.” - Dudley Miles: CEO, J. D. Miles & Sons, Inc. www.
jdmilesandsons.com Serving Virginia and North Carolina since 1910. (Mr. Miles is a former President of the NRCA - 1992)
“Our foreman was ecstatic after using it for the first time. His comments were “I wish I had a set 25 years ago”. It has definitely made his job easier and safer.
Roofing is a by nature a hazardous profession. I have been in the roofing business for 35 years and it is not too often that a safety product comes along that
truly makes the job safer, is easy to work with and the roofers actually like using it. The Slator does all this. Thank you for this product!” - J. Mike Christopolis.
President, Columbia Roofing, Serving Maryland Clients since 1977 www.columbiaroofing.com
“I wanted to take a moment and share with you how pleased we are with the SLATOR. The entire company was introduced to the product and trained with all
of the available instructional videos. The most common comment and a greatest complement was “Why didn’t I think of that!”, showing the genius, simplicity
and appreciation for the SLATOR. We now consider the SLATOR to be part of our standard company issued safety equipment. As such, each of our crews has
at a minimum a SLATOR and a SLATOR-mini. Overall, the guys really liked the concept and are using them in the field. Thank you for your commitment to the
safety of our industry!” -Scott Shufflebarger President, Hertless Brothers Roofing, Serving Richmond, Virginia since 1935. www.hertlessbrothers.com
“This is the type of simple and inexpensive anchorage system that is needed by commercial roofers and framers.
It’s great to see a design by roofers for roofers taking into consideration the pricing constraints that comes with being a residential roofer.”
- Jeff Burke, CHST Site Superintendent - OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer
