As a participant in the parade, I, for myself, my executor, administrators, and assigns, do hereby
release and discharge WBRT, The Kiwanis Club, Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce, the event site, their management, officers, directors, employees, organizers, or their
representatives, and all cooperating businesses and organizations from all claims of damages,
demands, actions, and causes whatsoever, in any manner arising or growing out of my participation or that of my child/group in this event. I give my full permission for the use of my name
and photograph in this event. I also give my full permission for such first aid as is deemed
necessary to be provided to me or my child on the premises or prior to transport to a hospital
for further treatment.

Description of Entry
WBRT and the Bardstown-Nelson County Kiwanis
Christmas Parade Committee invite you to
participate in a spectacular celebration of
Christmas by decorating your entries in the
parade to reflect the theme:
The primary focus of the parade is to provide a safe,
enjoyable & quality parade for the community. We are
calling on all local businesses and organizations to enter
a float or costumed character. We also encourage all city
and county fire departments, dance teams, cheerleaders,
sports teams, marching bands, carriages and past parade
participants to have an entry in the parade!
The Parade Rules
• NO UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN!
• There must be an adult on all floats where children are present!
• Throwing of candy or any object is prohibited.
• Parade participants are responsible for their own insurance.

For the Bardstown/Nelson County Kiwanis
Christmas Parade!
• Cars and walking groups will line up in Bardstown City
School’s parking lot. All other entrants will enter on West
Broadway forming a single line.
• All entries must be in place by 5:30 p.m.
• The parade number used to identify entries will be distributed
the evening of the parade and MUST be displayed in the window of the vehicle pulling your float.
• $25.00 Entry Fee – Payment MUST accompany application to
reserve your SPOT
If you are a group of walkers, please have someone leading
the group hold up the number for easy viewing.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON ANY PARADE ENTRY AT
ANY TIME BEFORE OR DURING THE PARADE!
SAFETY COMES FIRST!
All entries must observe all applicable rules and regulations.
Bardstown-Nelson County Kiwanis Christmas Parade Committee
reserves the right to remove from the parade, at any time, any entrant
not conforming to the rules and regulations or any entrant refusing to
follow instructions of police or parade officials.*
There is only one float for Santa Claus,
so, please NO Santa’s on your floats.
Parade Route: Line-up begins at 4:45 p.m. Cars and
walking groups will line up single file in Bardstown City
School’s parking lot, entering at Fifth and Tiger Alley. Floats
and large vehicles or horse groups enter the line-up at Stephen Foster Avenue and West Broadway and continue in a
single line to starting point at Tiger Alley and West Broadway.
Parade will commence at West Broadway and Fifth Street at
6 p.m. and proceed east to North Third Street. From there it
will proceed south and pass in front of the Welcome Center
before heading west on Stephen Foster Avenue.
