Do you know someone who has done something worthy of recognition? Corporal Nick
Bristow with the DeSoto Police Department would like to hear from you.
You may recognize Cpl. Nick, pictured here, as the officer providing traffic reports on
WFAA on weekday mornings.

Meet The Chief…on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 9
am to noon in the City Council Chambers at DeSoto City Hall, 211 E.
Pleasant Run Road.
DeSoto Police Chief, Joe Costa, and members of his department will host a Town Hall
Meeting to meet the community, share information on major initiatives of the DeSoto
Partial funding for this project is provided through a grant from the DeSoto Arts Commission.

Bad weather caused the cancelation of our February 27th show
but it has been rescheduled to April 17th at 7pm at the Fred
Nickels Auditorium at DeSoto High School. If you purchased
tickets for the February 27th show, hang on to them and make
plans to attend the April 17th show. If you need tickets, they are
still available at www.artsdesoto.com or by calling 972-230-9648.
Tickets are still $10 for general admission and $5 for students or
seniors 60+.

Annual Household Hazardous Waste Event
May 9, 2015 9 am to noon
Westmoreland Pump Station ,620 N. Westmoreland
This event is for DeSoto residents only, proof of residency is
required. Only residential household hazardous waste will be
accepted, commercial waste or electronics are not
allowed. Due to limited space, those who would like to
participate must register prior to the event. Residents may
sign up beginning April 9th by calling the Action Center at
972.230.9600.
