Threading is a form of temporary hair removal, an ancient manual
technique similar to plucking. It involves the use of a loop of
twisted cotton thread, which is passed across the skin to trap
the hairs and ‘pluck’ them from their follicles. Mainly performed on
eyebrows, upper lip, chin and sides of the face.

* Please note if you haven’t had an eyelash or eyebrow tint at aura before, it is
essential you have a patch test at least 24 hours before your treatment.

This is the most common method of waxing. Warm wax is
smoothed onto the skin in a thin layer and immediately covered
with paper strip which is pressed/rubbed onto the waxed area
before being removed in a quick swipe. Strip waxing is quicker

Lycon Hot Wax
In aura we use the exclusive Lycon wax. Brought in from
Australia, Lycon Wax contains the finest resins and natural
ingredients to deliver superior performance, removing hairs
as short as 1mm and with its low temperature it provides a
much more comfortable treatment. For the more delicate
areas such as bikini and face we use hot wax which literally
shrink wraps around the hair and does not stick to the skin.
When the wax is removed it pulls from the very root of the
hair follicle, removing the dermal-papilla. This will prevent
hair breakage, in-grown hairs, bruises and redness and the
painful sting associated with other types of wax. A Lycon
wax will truly be your best wax you'll ever have, and will be
50% less painful than traditional waxing.

Appointments can be made by phone or in person. All treatment times set out in this
tariff are there as a guideline only. Times indicated include a consultation and time to
enable you to prepare for and complete your treatment.
All the treatments on this tariff can be sold as a course of six (buy 5 and get the 6th
free) these are non transferable or refundable.
The relaxing environment we have in aura is created with your well being in mind,
therefore we ask you to abide by club rules and switch your mobile phone off before
entering the salon.
Please note: Children under the age of 14 will not be permitted in aura.
The timings on this tariff are inclusive of a consultation and are a guideline only.
If you need to cancel or re-schedule your appointment, please make sure you give us
at least 24 hours notice.
CANCELLATION charges are as follows:
Less than 24 hours notice given - 50% cost of treatment cancelled
No notice given - Full price of treatment cancelled
If you are booking an aura treatment and are currently on any medication,
undergoing any medical treatment or are pregnant, please inform aura reception at
the time of booking to enable us to inform you of the most appropriate treatments.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase and are non-refundable.
They must be presented prior to treatment.
If you are booking more than 2 hours of treatment time, you may be asked to pay a
50% deposit at time of booking.
