Silgan Closures Finished Goods New Item Numbering Closures FG Item Numbering April 2015 Topic Overview New Item Numbering Overview Use of the Three Item Number fields in E1 Category Codes New Item Numbering Overview E1 will default Next Number into all three Item Number fields for new Items and in the Short and Item Number fields for Legacy items Field Name Also Known As Alias Short Item Number Item Number (Short) ITM Item Number 2nd Item Number LITM 3rd Item Number Catalog Number AITM For all Silgan Closure Finished Goods Items, the Short Item Number and Item Number fields will contain the Short Item Number value New Item Numbering Overview For all Silgan Closure Finished Goods Items, the 3rd Item Number will be: – The Legacy Item Number for Existing Items at cutover – See Example 1 – The Legacy Item Number with the New Pack Code for new Pack Codes created after cutover – See Example 2 – The Short Item Number followed by a .000 for the new Master Items created by Corporate after cutover – See Example 3 – The Short Item Number of the Master Item followed by a .nnn for Base Item.
