Cleaning Recommendations
We recommend the use of soapy water or approved cleaners.
This product should not be cleaned with abrasive materials.
Damage caused by any improper treatment is not covered by the product warranty. Refer to Warranty Conditions.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please ensure that a water test is done prior to the final installation being completed. Lanark will only fix leaks or damaged pipe work
if it easily accessible. Lanark will not accept any damage claims after installation. Remove protective plastic sheet to check for shell
damage as no claim will be entertained by Lanark after installation has been completed.
Caution
The following instructions are intended as a guide, regulations vary from area to area. You must check local authority requirements prior
to installation.
Check list
The layout of taps and waste outlet must be carefully considered to ensure that the layout is both functional and aesthetically
pleasing. The top edge of the bath must be installed level to ensure proper drainage. Check flooring and framework and adjust if
necessary.
Pumps may come installed on a steel frame and connected to the bath. The pump will require a 10 amp power point/supply. Extra
support may be necessary by using timbers.
Spa bath & bath installation
It is now the responsibility of the installer to check for any shell imperfections, leaks or spa plumbing imperfections. Lanark spas are
manufactured under strict quality control but damage may occur during transport or installation. If any issues are detected, lanark must
be contacted immediately.
1. This bath is not self supporting and does require a support at the base via masonry, steel, timber. It is important that the full rim of the
bath rests on a support wall constructed from wood, masonry or steel.
2. Place bath in position and connect waste. Fill bath and then release, checking seals for leaks and that the bath drains successfully.
3. Apply flexible sealant to the exposed edges.
Air or dual systems
These spas must not be bedded into cement slurry. Once the correct levels and heights have been achieved, place supporting blocks
(normally timber) under the base of the bath. Only place these blocks to the base of the bath. If they any higher than the base, it may
distort the shape of the base which will cause drainage issues. Make sure that the supporting blocks are clear of the air injectors.
The blocks should be siliconed into position to prevent them from moving.
The blower must be installed in accordance with the manufactures instructions. These are inside the blower box. The most important
thing to keep in mind is that the blower must be installed in such a way to prevent water from getting into it. This can be achieved
by installing above the water level or by installing a loop which rises above the water level.
Mic-jet spa bath installation
It is now the responsibility of the installer to check for any shell imperfections, leaks or spa plumbing imperfections. Lanark spas are
manufactured under strict quality control but damage may occur during transport or installation. If any issues are detected, lanark must
be contacted immediately.
1. The spa should be placed into position and the top leveled by adjusting the feet at the bottom of the frame. Mortar should then be
pushed under the frame to fill the gap between the bottom of the bath and the floor. This will add support to the bath and bonds the
bath in place. Expandable foam is not an adequate means of support.
2. The pump must be accessible for service reasons and it must be well ventilated. If the pump is installed outside, ensure that it has
adequate weather protection.
3. Pump manfacturers will not accept warranty claims if the pump is not accessable.
4. Only after the spa has been tested should the final tiling process take place.
Plumbers, please ensure a copy of the installation instructions is left
with the end user for future reference.

Spa operating instructions.
Operating your spa is very simple.
Manual pump & Mic-Jet Spa. To start the spa, simply press the air button once. This will activate the pump and the heater inside
the pump. It will now force water through the jets. Top stop the pump, simply press the button again. The heater will run whenever the
pump is on.
Air systems. The instructions for these are the same as a manual pump or touchpad pump.
To start the blower, simply press the air button or touchpad once. When first activated the blower will switch on at its highest sped.
The blower is fitted with a heater. It will take a few minutes for the heat from the blower to be felt. By pressing the button or touchpad,
you will gradually reduce the speed of the blower until it is off. NB – Approximately 20 minutes after the blower has been switched off,
it will automatically switch itself back on. This is called a purge cycle. It does this automatically to push the remaining water out of the air
tubes.
Air controls. The control on the top of the spa is called an air control or air venturi. This regulates the amount of air flow through the
jets. When the spa system is running you will notice that by turning this control clockwise or anti clockwise the pressure of the jets
increases.
Touchpad systems. The touchpad has a separate button for the heater. This allows you to turn the heater on and off and to keep
the pump running. There is a power light on the touchpad. This will be illuminated as long the pump is plugged in and the power is
active. By pushing the button labeled “Jets”, the pump will switch on. The spa will be activated and the heater will automatically be on.
To turn the whole system off, push the “Jets” button again. When the heater is on, the “Heat” light on the touchpad will be illuminated.
To switch the heater off but keep the pump running, press the “Heat” button on the touchpad.
Diverter Valves. These valves are fitted to certain models. They allow you to split the water flow between different sections of the
spa. This is done by turning the handle on the diverter from one side to the other. When the spa is on you will notice that when you turn
the handle the pressure in one bank of jets will increase while other bank of jets will decrease. If you have the handle in the middle, the
water pressure will be split between all the jets.
