Richards Students Present Inter-generational Project to Elderwood Residents Our Mission: Inspire. Educate. Learn. Succeed. Grow. Since January, a group of eighth-grade students in Mary Ryan’s and Andrea Bishop’s English classes visited residents at Elderwood to learn about their lives. According to Mrs. Ryan, the residents looked forward to the students’ curiosity and energy during the visits, while the students were amazed by the experiences and wisdom of the residents with whom they visited throughout the inter-generational project. Students asked questions and took notes so they could write about the experience. At the end of the school year, the students presented a booklet of the biographical reflections to the residents during a picnic.
