HAYDEN PLANETARIUM:
SECRETS OF THE SUN
Spring 2014
For this project, there is an event at Hayden Planetarium in
New York City to promote on site. My concept involved semitransparent screens on the north- and west-facing planetarium
walls that would shift as the sun would set, exposing blank
screen that would have projected images relating to the history
of human understanding of the sun.
CHRISTIE’S ANNOUNCEMENT CARDS
Spring 2013
These announcement cards were created for specific sales,
featuring a notable work of art from that sale. Using the artwork
to identify an appropriate color palette, I used a basic template
for the informative side of the announcement card.
EDWARD HOPPER VANTITIES
Fall 2014
I worked directly with the American Art specialists to create
these vanities that showcased Edward Hopper’s “East Wind
Over Weehawken” and “Kelly Jenness House”, respectively. I
developed the typographic styles, layout, and color scheme as
well as made all revisions before sending the vanities to print.

COMPOSTIONAL STUDIES
Fall 2012
There were four distinct studies, each with their own set
of limitations, designed to push our understanding of
composition. As we progressed through each study, we were
allowed to introduce addtional elements, like type and image.

SPECTACLE: THE MUSIC VIDEO
Spring 2012
With three different sets of limitations, I created two layouts
for each study using the same copy for each layout. The goal
was to create interesting layouts while still maintain legibility
and readability.

TYPOGRAPHIC LIGATURE
Summer 2013
This project was created to develop our understanding of
wordmarks. Using two or three letters, we were instructed to
connect our chosen letters using a typographic ligature.
PHOTO BOOK: LIGHTS
Summer 2013
This was the final photography project for the year. I chose
to develop my book around the concept of light-painting,
which is long-exposure photographs of a moving light source
that creates interesting compositions usually unseen by the
human eye.

MARVEL ICON SYSTEM:
SUPER POWERS
Summer 2013
In this project, we were required to develop 8 icons, 2 root +
determinants, and 2 utilitarian icons for an application of our
choosing. I chose to develop my system for Marvel Comics’
character search feature on their new app.
