Multiplier Effect - 3 to 1 The teams funded $45,587.61 in community needs and projects. Financial contributions and discounts in the amount of $81,492.01 were provided. The total value of services and needs met by the six Service Integration Teams was $127,079.62. $45,587.61 resulted in $129,579.62 in goods and services *Leveraged funds include cash donations, in-kind contributions, value of good and services, and discounts provided. Partners learn about resources and services available in Polk County. 5th annual Community Connect (2016)~Connecting those in need, homeless or at risk of homelessness with valuable local resources and services. Opened the Central Community Resource Center which is the 2nd resource center in Polk County. The center follows a co-location model and houses the following agencies: MWVCAA Polk County Resource Services, The Salvation Army, DHS Self Sufficiency, Mano a Mano, Catholic Community Services, and more. 80 households served through rent and utility assistance in partnership with the Dallas and Central Resource Center partners. OUTREACH EVENTS Dallas Family Night Out (August 2015) Nearly 1,000 people attended the back to school event for the Dallas community. Backpacks and school supplies were distributed. Over 30 resource and service providers were on site providing information and services, including haircuts and free clothing. Falls City Night Out (April 2016) Twenty-five service providers attended this event and provided information on resources and services to over 170 Falls City residents. Grand Ronde Family Night Out (June 2016) Over 800 people attended the event this year and were able to receive resource and service information from over 40 agencies and organizations. Edgewater Super Saturday (June 2016) This event is focused on serving the Edgewater community. Around 150-200 residents attended and enjoyed free food, activities, health services and community resource information.
