circumference of 86 cm (34 in).

MAKING UP
Using 4½mm (US 7) needles cast on 45 sts.
Press as described on ball band.
Row 1: Knit.
Sew cast on and cast off edges together to make snood.
Row 2 and every foll alt row: Sl 1, K1, P to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 3: Sl 1, K4, *K2tog, yfwd, K1, yfwd, sl 1, K1, psso, K5,
rep from * to end.
