About Symi Island
THE ISLAND OF THE ARCHANGELS
Symi is a small Greek island covering just 68 square miles in the
southeastern part of the Aegean, only 24 miles from Rhodes.
Here you are still able to sample traditional Greek hospitality and
friendliness at its very best while soaking up Symi’s unlimited

As you approach Symi on the ferry from Rhodes you see the steep
rugged cliffs rising up from the sea stark against the cloudless blue

Daily Excursions
MONDAY- ST EMILIANOS AND MARONI BAY.
Join our guide as they lead a walk to St Emilianos Bay. Our mini bus will take us up to one of our most important churches,
Michaeli Roukoniotis. From here we start the 2 hour walk along and down the valley to the bay of Saint Emilianos. A beautiful
walk with spectacular views down the valley and towards Turkey. Our caique will pick us up and take us over to the Bay of Maroni
for the afternoon. A favourite bay for many visitors, the tender can take you ashore or just relax on board and swim from the
ladder. Barbeque lunch will be served on board accompanied by wine and retsina. We leave late afternoon arriving back in the
harbour before 6pm.
OR at 10.30 am take the Agios Nicholaos straight to St Emilianos stopping for a swim on the way. Join up with the rest of the
group for the afternoon at Maroni.
Price - Walk and boat = 40 euros per person, boat only 35 euros per person.
TUESDAY - Marathounda AND SAINT GEORGE BAY
The boat will depart at 10.30pm and cruise around to the bay of Marathounda. The boat will anchor in the bay but you can reach
the beach by tender – or stay and relax on the boat and swim from the ladder. The caique will then make its way back up to Saint
George with its stunning cliff backdrop. The crew will prepare a lovely barbeque lunch. Return to the harbour at 5.30pm
Price – 30 euros per person.
WEDNESDAY – AN AFTERNOON AT TAVIRI.
The boat will depart at 13.00pm and cruise around Nimos Island to the secluded bay of Taviri. The crew will prepare a nice BBQ
lunch. Return to the harbour 5.30 – 6pm
Price - 20€ per person.
THURSDAY - (PRIVATE CHARTER) This may move from day to day. If you wish to charter the Agios Nikolaos fully crewed it is 600
euros per day.
WELCOME DRINKS PARTY.
We hold a complimentary, informal welcome cruise aboard our caique, the Agios Nikolaos. At 6.30pm we cruise around to the
neighbouring bay of Nimborio with a short stop for a swim. Take the opportunity to meat other clients staying here on Symi. At
the same time ask us any questions and find out more information about the island so you can make the most of your time on
Symi. Please come and join us! We return into the harbour at 8.00pm

FRIDAY – INNER ISLAND TRIP WITH A WALK TO THE OLD VINERIES.
Depart 9.30am in the mini bus up into the inner part of the island; first stop is for a panoramic photo opportunity of Symi and
Turkey beyond. The bus then drives us half way through the island, We leave the bus for our one and half hour walk through
the pine forest and through the Byzantine wine presses. As we leave the forest to rejoin the bus we experience beautiful views
down towards Marathounda. We continue down by coach to Marthounta. Then we join the Agios Nicholaos and cruise back
up to Saint George .
OR at 10.30 am take the Agios Nicholaos for a trip to Marathounda and join up with the rest of the group and journey on to
Saint George. The crew will drop anchor in the beautiful bay – plenty of time for swimming or relaxing, with a nice bbq. Back in
the harbour 5.30 / 6pm
Price – Walk and boat 40 euros per person – boat only 30 euros.
SATURDAY - ROUND THE ISLAND BY CAIQUE.
For a lazy and relaxing day join the Agios Nikolaos at 10.30am in the harbour of Yialos. The boat will cruise around the
northern coast of Symi stopping for a swim in one of the many tiny coves or at the seal cave. The caique will then head down
the west coast to the Monastery of Panormitis. Here you will have chance to go ashore and visit the monastery, museums and
the wonderful wood oven bakery. The caique will then journey on to Sesklia where the afternoon is spent bathing, eating,
drinking and relaxing.
Late afternoon you cruise back to Yialos up the eastern side of the island passing the bays of Marathounda, Nanou, Agios
Georgos, Pedi and Agias Marina, stopping in one of them for a late afternoon swim, arriving back in the harbour between 5.30
and 6p.m.
Price - 40 euros per person.
SUNDAY – DAY AT TAVIRI.
The boat will depart at 10.30am and cruise around Nimos Island to the secluded bay of Taviri. The crew will prepare a nice BBQ
lunch. Return to the harbour 5.30 – 6pm
Price - 28€ per person.

VISIT MARATHOUNDA ORGANIC FARM - A GUIDED TOUR FOLLOWED BY TRADITIONAL SYMI COOKING CLASS.
Our mini bus drives us down to the bay of Marathounda. Here we will have a guided tour around the ecological farm, learn
how to make yoghurt and cheese and gather some fresh produce before heading into the kitchen. We will then learn some
Symiot cooking techniques and together prepare ourselves a delicious local feast! After a late lunch we will travel back to
Yialos harbour on the Agios Nikolas caique. Ask at the office for prices.

Villa Agapi
You will find villa Agapi less than 5 minutes easy walk from the
village centre, at the far end of George Street.
 
DESCRIPTION
Enter through the front door into the open plan spacious living
room and kitchen with built in mini oven and hob. At the opposite
end of the room a door leads into the small secluded garden with a
lemon tree and geraniums.
Upstairs is the large, airy bedroom with air conditioning, double
wooden bed, ensuite bathroom and a large balcony with beautiful
views down the Pedi valley and out to sea.

Villa Arleta
This is a typical Symi style villa, 70 steps up from the harbour road
with large terrace and wonderful panoramic views. No more that 8
minutes into the centre of town.
 
DESCRIPTION
LOWER FLOOR – The villa is 70 steps up from the harbour. The
entrance is through a large terrace with wonderful views of the
harbour and Nimos. The entrance leads to a simply furnished salon
with two sofa beds and has air-conditioning. At the back of the villa
is a dressing room with large cupboards and tiled shower room. To
the left of the salon is a fully fitted kitchen with a full oven.
FIRST FLOOR - At the back of the salon is a steep wooden staircase
leading up to the bedroom. There is a private exterior staircase
leading to the first floor. The light and airy bedroom has a large
double bed, dressing table, air conditioning and a balcony with
views of the harbour. At the back of the bedroom is a dressing area
with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a small shower room. From
the dressing room there is another steep wooden staircase which
takes you up to the bed platform with a double mattress. This
bedroom area is only suitable for children over 6 years of age.

Villa Anna
Villa Anna is the top of a converted villa located in the village of
Chorio, the old town, near to the square, and is just a short walk
from tavernas, cafés, bars and shops.
Villa Anna is suitable for up to 4 people.
 
DESCRIPTION
Entry to the villa is from the street, which has a salon with a 3 piece
suite, dining area with table and chairs and a kitchen area with an
“all in one “ unit with fridge sink and two electric hobs.
Under the wooden stairway is an extra bed. From the salon a door
to a small balcony with panoramic views across the harbour to
Nimmos island and Turkey.
Upstairs are two separate double bedrooms there is an air
conditioning/heater in one of the bedrooms. The bathroom is
downstairs with shower, wash hand basin and W.C.
Villa Anna is well situated being less than 20 minutes walk down
to Pedi beach, easy access to bus and taxi facilities, or you can walk
down the Kali Strata to Yialos the harbour area.

Villa Aphroditi (Marathounda)
Aphrodite apartment is situated at the end of a row of three
properties lining the beach at Marathounda.
DESCRIPTION
The properties are conversions of the original buildings and are
decorated individually to a high standard of comfort and design.
Marathounda bay is located towards the southern end of the island,
about a 20 minute drive from Symi town. The bay itself is pebbly
with wonderfully clear waters ideal for snorkelling. On the beach is
Micheali’s taverna which serves traditional Greek dishes as well as
fresh fish – this is open throughout the day and evening.
From the beach a gate leads onto a terrace running the width of
the property. From here double doors open into the kitchen / living
area. This has a fitted kitchen unit with sink, hob and mini oven,
settee, dining table and chairs, and sofa bed which can sleep a third
person. From here one door leads into the fully tiled bathroom
with half sized bath and shower and wall mounted hair dryer.
From the main room a door leads into the spacious bedroom with
antique style wrought iron double bed, built in wardrobe and air
conditioning. Windows look over the beach and out to sea.
A back door from the main living room leads onto the back terrace
overlooking the Marathounda organic farm. An interesting place
to take a guided tour and learn about some traditional farming
methods.
Aphrodite apartment is ideal for those seeking a beach location and
independence away from the main town. Why not spend a few days
here and then the rest of the holiday in a property back in the main
town or village?

Villa Artemis (Marathounda)
Artemis apartment is situated on the end of a row of three

Villa Dimitra
A traditional Symi stone house which has recently undergone
total renovation to a very high standard. It sits in a very quiet
neighbourhood just a few minutes walk from the main village
centre.
DESCRIPTION
Entrance is into the original pebble mosaic courtyard with outside
furniture and sunbeds. Stone steps lead up into the modern kitchen
with built in cupboards and anka unit with mini oven and hob. A
door leads into the beautiful master bathroom with full sized bath
and sink unit.
The air conditioned salon sits at the front of the property dining
table, chairs and sofa. Double doors lead onto the balcony with
views down the Pedi valley and out to sea beyond. To the side of
the salon is the first double bedroom with its wrought iron double
bed with mosquito net and air conditioning.
From the salon a spiral staircase leads down into a second salon
with settee and feature stone fireplace. Double wooden doors lead
out onto the small street running along the front of the property.
Downstairs there is a second fully tiled shower room and the
second double bedroom with wrought iron double bed.
Villa Dimitra is ideal for clients seeking a traditional Symi house in
a quiet village location with the added advantage of brand new
modern furnishings. It is a perfect property for two couples who
wish to share as the upstairs and downstairs have their separate
entrances as well as their own bathroom facilities.

A spacious house situated in peaceful George Street.
DESCRIPTION
Downstairs is open plan with the kitchen and dining area at one
end [including mini oven]. At the other end there is an L-shaped
seating area leading out onto a private terrace with sunbeds.
Upstairs is the large, airy double bedroom with air conditioning.

George Studio
A compact studio retaining the traditional features of an old
fireplace and domed ceiling. It sits underneath Original and New
Villa George.
DESCRIPTION
The studio consists of a double bedroom with a dining area. Walk
through the arch to the kitchen with all in one unit and mini oven/
grill. Leading from here is a modern fully tiled shower room.
The studio is on a quiet walkway and has a small garden perched
on the side of the hill with fantastic views down to the harbour and
out to sea.
George Studio is 5 minute walk from the village centre with its
shops, restaurants and bars. The last part of the walk is down a
zigzag concrete path which can be very dark at night so a torch is
essential! George Studio is for those clients seeking simple village
accommodation but with fantastic views down to the harbour.

Villa Hera (Marathounda)
Villa Hera is situated on the beach at Marathounda literally a stone’s
throw from the water’s edge.
DESCRIPTION
The property is a stylish conversion of the original building and
is decorated to a high standard of comfort and design. Next
door is Villa Zeus but the properties are on different levels so are
private from one another. Marathounda bay is located towards

Villa Kiki is a two –storey Symi townhouse which has recently

This studio is entered from a quiet pathway just off the main Kali
Strata and only 2 minutes walk from the main village square. It sits
next to Kyklameno apartment and underneath studios 2 and 3.
DESCRIPTION
Through the front door climb the staircase to the studio which is
open plan and airy. It consists of a kitchen area with all in one unit
with hob, a small seating area and a traditional raised bed platform
with 2 single mattresses. A small balcony has partial views over the
rooftops and out to sea.

Kyklameno Studio 2
This studio is located just a couple of minutes from the village
square in a quiet side street off the Kali Strata.
DESCRIPTION
It sits on the top floor above the Kyklameno Apartment and next to
studio 3. It is reached by a fairly steep staircase. Inside, the studio is
spacious and open plan and comprises of a kitchen area with built
in unit and hob, fully tiled shower room and a raised bedroom area
with double bed and air conditioning. From here a door leads to
the amply sized terrace with spectacular views down to the harbour
and beyond.

Kyriaki Studio
This is a traditional studio on the ground floor of a Symi house
ideally located just off the village square
DESCRIPTION
The front door leads into the kitchen / living room. This has
comfortable cane furniture, dining table and chairs and an all in
one kitchen unit with 2 ring hob. The room is full of character with
traditional built in dresser, stone flagged floor and feature fireplace.

A two storey house in front of the sea in Yialos. As we enter the
harbour by boat, this house is situated on the left hand side, on the
main road.

Villa Zeus
Villa Zeus is situated on the beach at Marathounda literally a stone’s
throw from the water’s edge.
DESCRIPTION
The property is a stylish conversion of the original building and
is decorated to a high standard of comfort and design. Next
door is Villa Hera but the properties are on different levels so are
private from one another. Marathounda bay is located towards
the southern end of the island, about a 20 minute drive from

with character wooden ceiling, fitted cupboards, full oven, dish
washer and dining furniture.
Villa Zeus is a spacious house suitable for a family or two couples.
