Hello all!
Colorly Coach Karen (that’s me!) is back to share a few tips for the fall season.
With return of cooler temps most clients are looking to add some gloss & change to
their summer locks. In looking at the fall fashions, styles were varied to say the least;
some hemlines were above the knee some were way below the knee, the same held
true for hairstyles and hair colors. There were creamy, beautifully sculpted blondes as
well as rich luxurious chocolate brunettes.
The one thing they did have in common… every hair color had a conditioned
richness to it. A few had soft understated lighter ends yet an elegantly rich natural
monochromatic finish, a well taken care of pampered appearance…which tells me that
balayage is still a viable service for your salon.
Fortunately, no one does beautifully luxurious shine & condition like IT&LY Hairfashion.
First here are a few ideas for some killer formulas using:
Color 2020 or
Aquar&ly
or
delyTON then use Blondly (new crème lightener) and Lite+Passion (new ammonia free toners) to
create that monochromatic effect.
Brunettes have it “ALL” this fall. Chocolate never had it so rich… deep dark and
luminesce. If simplicity is your thing…Start with Chocolate (CH) or Chocolate ChiliPepper (CP)… satisfying as a simple Hershey bar.
C3CH, 4CH, 5CH, 4CP, 5CP
Color 2020

Cool it off a bit?
Add: 5C (Cenere series CLY, AQ) or 4I, 5I (Matt series AQ) or 4CF, 5CF (Coffee series dTN)
Warm it up?
Add: 6T, 6R, 6RU, 4M, 5M, 4V, 5V (CLY, AQ, dTN) or 4R, 5R, 5RI (AQ) any red you like!
Revive the tone, shine & gloss in your blond shades.
Cool creamy blond you say?
Creamy blonds have never been this toned:
Try using something in one of these categories’… as long as you are starting from a
natural level 6 or lighter…(otherwise double process & Blondly will be your best friend)
SSA, SSC, SSB Highlift series (CLY, AQ)
11AP, 11AA, 11AC Artic series (CLY, AQ)
10K Smokey series or 10I Matt series (AQ)
10C Cenere series (CLY,AQ)
(Using Oxily 40 or Crème Ossigenta 40)
If the ends are lightened & faded: may need to tone ends with a warmer formula:
9D + NN (clear) (CLY, AQ, dyN)

Season up your Redheads with a slight twist
Using 2 different flavors of red can be quite enticing…give it a shot!
Try:
6R + 7RR (CLY, AQ, dyN)
6RF + 6T (CLY,AQ)
6RU + 7FA (CLY)
5RI + 7RR (AQ)
For a second layer of texture & tone: Tone on Tone Effect
…this will bring the color to its ultimate finish
The idea is to lighten up specific pieces with Blondly (love this stuff!) via
Balayage, Ombre, a few strategically placed foils or free hand painting. Tone
with one of Lite+Passion’s beautiful ammonia free shades…
