How to Reinvest Your Company Stock Dividends
How to Reinvest Your
Company Stock Dividends
Any dividends you receive as a result of owning company stock are deposited into your Fidelity Account ® as cash
by default. You can change this option so that dividends are reinvested to purchase more shares of company stock.1
To do this, simply follow these steps:
1. Go to Fidelity.com.
2. From the main menu, select Accounts
& Trade, followed by Update
Accounts/Features, and log in.
For illustrative purposes only.
3. Select Dividends and Capital Gains under
Brokerage & Trading.
For illustrative purposes only.
This page is where you update the distribution method for any dividends and
capital gains that may be paid out for your equity and mutual fund holdings.
Note: You will be given the opportunity to apply the update to all similar
securities/positions in your account.
1
4. Click Update for the specific security
you wish to change.
For illustrative purposes only.
5. Choose either “Reinvest in Security” or
“Deposit to Core Account” and decide
whether you want the change to apply to all
similar equity positions. You can also indicate
whether you want the change to apply to
future purchases, transfers, and deposits.
6. Click Update when you are done to
complete the transaction.
For illustrative purposes only.
Reinvest in Security means that any dividend or capital gain paid will be used
to purchase additional stock for you. Deposit to Core Account means that any
dividend received will be deposited into your brokerage account as cash.
You may also make a change to your dividend payment option by calling a Fidelity Stock Plan Services Representative at
1-800-544-9354 any time between 5 p.m. Sunday and midnight Friday, Eastern time, excluding holidays of the New
York Stock Exchange, except Good Friday.
You must make your election through a phone representative before 9 p.m. Eastern time by the record
