Deacon Paul Roma has requested and has
received permission from Bishop da Cunha to
retire from active ministry as the parish
deacon. He has served in our parish since
August 2013. We thank Deacon Roma for his
ministry among us these past years,
especially in celebrating the Sacrament of
Baptism for many of our children as well as
coordinating the RCIA process. Deacon
Roma will continue to help out when
available until a new deacon is assigned to St.
Anthony’s Parish.
Catholic Charities
Appeal
The annual Fall River Diocesan Catholic Charities Appeal will begin in early May.
The funds generated by this
collection assist the many
apostolates within the diocese in their outreach to those who are in need, including support for the Sr. Rose House for the homeless in New Bedford as well as a number of food pantries. In addition, the appeal supports the pastoral
care ministries in all hospitals located in the diocese,
including Falmouth Hospital. A letter and contribution card will be sent to registered parishioners in a
few weeks. Please consider sharing in our mission.

2nd Collection this week: Faith Formation for our
Youth: This collection allows us to keep the
religious education fee low for our parish families.
“CULTURE OF LIFE CHAPLET” Thurs. April 21
at 1pm St. Jude’s Chapel, CTK Parish, Mashpee.
2nd Collection next week: Energy Collection: To
assist the parish in paying its utility bills. We are also
hoping to purchase LED Bulbs which are now available for the chandeliers. While this is a large
“upfront” cost, the electric bill savings will be tremendous.
We thank all those who regularly support our
parish community. Your generosity enables us to
preach the Gospel both within the church as well
as through the many apostolates of outreach.
I want to thank all of our families for an
incredible Faith Formation program year.
It has been a pleasure working with all of
our students and I hope to see many of
you in the fall. Registration materials for
our 2016-2017 program year will be forthcoming.
As a reminder for our students in First Communion
Prep Pt. 2, we will be having our rehearsals for First
Communion on both Tuesday, April 26 from 6pm7pm and on Saturday, April 30 from 1pm-2pm. All
students and their families are expected to attend both
rehearsals. We will celebrate First Communion on
Sunday, May 1st at the 11:00am Mass. If you have
any questions or concerns call Jon at 508-548-3515.
GREETER MINISTRY: We are in need of a few
more people who would be willing to welcome people
at the church doors at the 4:00pm, 9:00am and 11am
Masses. Call the parish office if interested.
PARISH FOOD PANTRY: The items needed this
week: Tuna, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Pasta Sauce and
Toilet Paper. Thank you for your continued support!

FALMOUTH EATS TOGETHER DINNER
Thursday, April 21 @ 4-6pm will be hosted by St.
Anthony’s Parish. A nutritious and free meal will be
provided by the Falmouth Service Center. Families
with young children and elders are welcomed by our
parish to share a meal in a safe and welcoming space.
Volunteers are needed to help park cars, greet, serve
and clean-up. Those willing to help please come to the
Church Hall at 3:30pm for the instructional meeting.
