Fausfloor laminate flooring is the logical choice for any
person concerned about the environmental impact of
their décor. Laminate flooring not only uses
responsibly harvested, and easily renewed,
species of trees, such as pine and oak, but it is
also a product that is more durable than most
hardwood products. While the look of many
exotic species of trees may be readily found in
laminate flooring, achieving the same look with a
floor made from these rare types of trees may harm
fragile environments and require huge amounts of natural
resources to harvest and transport.

Faus has once again made a technological
breakthrough with a new laminate production
technique known as “Convex Surface”
Discerning tastes are sure to be pleased
with the urban chic aesthetic made possible
by a collection that celebrates distinct hues,
textures, and details.
Using Fausfloor patented “Embossed In
Register®” technology as a starting point, new
products featuring the Convex Surface finish
display an even more pronounced form of
the Embossed in Register texture. This unique
level of detail is achieved by compressing a
large portion (greater than 90%) of the total
surface area.
The visible contours seen in the Convex
Surface products simulate the character found
in well-worn natural woods, where areas of
the flooring design that would contain softer
wood have been compressed. Areas of the design
that would contain naturally harder wood are
left slightly elevated, just as many years of foot
traffic would leave a natural floor.

Embossed In Register®
Joint Guard®
Multi Direction Design®
This amazing technology applies wood and ceramic textures
that match the underlying pattern in the design of the
laminate floor. The envy of our competitor has them trying
to imitate this technology, however, it simply can not be
duplicated. It remains the most precise and realistic texture
technology in the industry.
This technology protects the vulnerable joints between
laminate pieces by utilizing a subtle deboss on the edges of
the planks. This is the only patented edge protection built
into the joints of each plank.
This is the first complex random stone pattern ever
produced in laminate. Using this technology we are able
to carry the stone pattern continuously and uninterrupted
across all planks (N, S, E and W). This gives the final
installation an appearance of a random stone floor at
a fraction of the cost of real stone and without the
messy grout!

Technologies
LongStrip
A creative extension of the InterPlank Design®, LongStrip
is the only technology that creates the appearance of
wood strips with random lengths up to 10 feet! It is
done without changing the plank lengths, dimensions or
standard packaging. The illustration below shows how
LongStrip® works.
Features & Benefits
Micro Bevel®
Using Embossed-In-Register® technology, this embosses
the lines between the wood strips on the multi-strip planks
including the outer edges of the plank - which no other
laminate manufacturer can do.
Like hardwoods, there are many different types of
trim and transition pieces available for laminate
floors. Transition strips, end caps, stair nosings,
moldings, and baseboard are all available for
most finish applications. Some companies also
offer floor registers for heating and air vents. To
add detail, there are “intarsia,” or inlaid, designs
available. These pieces have inlaid patterns that
can set off a large field of flooring or be used as
a border around the perimeter of the room.
To simplify the final stages of your installation
select the FasTrim® Multi-Transition System.
This system contains transition pieces that
can be combined to form t-molding, hard
surface reducer, carpet reducer, end molding,
or stair nose. Each transition piece snaps
firmly into the included floor track for a snug,
solid fit every time. Trim just doesn’t get any
easier than this.

1. T-Moldings
T-Moldings are used in doorways and archways four feet
wide (1.22m) or less and in rooms that are longer/wider
than 66 feet (20m) to join together two different areas of
laminate floors with underlayment.
2. & 3. Carpet Reducer / End Molding
Carpet Reducer strips are used as a transition between
laminate floors with underlayment and carpet floors.
The Carpet Reducer strip can be used as End Molding. End
Molding strips are used to finish the floor at door thresholds,
sliding glass doors, or other vertical fixed objects.
4. Hard Surface Reducer
Hard Surface Reducer is used to transition to a lower hard
surface, such as wood or tile. Hard Surface Reducer is used
with laminate flooring.
5. Stair Nose Moldings
Stair Nose Moldings are used to finish the edges of stair
treads or to finish any type of step-down application where
laminate flooring with underlayment is installed.
