Enhance awareness, accessibility, and understanding of the
art form among a broad and diverse film-going audience
Film Society of Lincoln Center
Founded in 1969, the Film Society of Lincoln Center celebrates American and
international cinema, recognizes and supports new filmmakers, and enhances
awareness, accessibility and understanding of the art form among a broad
and diverse film-going audience. As an independent constituent of the world’s
foremost performing arts center, the Film Society of Lincoln Center presents
year-round programming that premieres new films from an international roster of
established and emerging directors, and is best known for its two world-class film
festivals – the New York Film Festival and New Directors/New Films. The Film
Society operates two year-round cinemas (the Walter Reade Theater and the
Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center); publishes Film Comment, the country’s most
respected cinematic journal; and, each year, honors an individual whose work
has left an indelible mark on the history of cinema at its Chaplin Award Gala.
Dedicated to entertaining, enriching and expanding a global community for
jazz through performance, education and advocacy.
Jazz at Lincoln Center
Jazz at Lincoln Center is dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for jazz. With the
world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and a comprehensive array of guest artists,
Jazz at Lincoln Center advances a unique vision for the continued development of the
art of jazz by producing a year-round schedule of performance, education and broadcast
events for audiences of all ages. These productions include concerts, national and
international tours, residencies, a jazz hall of fame and concert series, weekly national
radio programs, recordings, publications, an annual high school jazz band competition
and festival, a band director academy, jazz appreciation curriculum for students, music
publishing, children’s concerts and classes, lectures, adult education courses, student
and educator workshops and interactive websites. Under the leadership of Managing
and Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at Lincoln Center impacts millions of lives
annually through the transformative spirit of American’s music, Jazz.
Making an indelible impact on the quality of the performing arts
The Juilliard School
The Juilliard School is the only private conservatory in the country to offer study in all three
performing arts disciplines of music, dance, and drama. With a long tradition of more than
100 years of educational and artistic excellence, Juilliard continues to make an indelible
impact on the quality of the performing arts in America and the world. From Kevin Kline to
Laura Linney, Yo-Yo Ma to Renée Fleming, Paul Taylor to William Forsythe, Juilliard alumni
are among the leading luminaries in the performing arts today.
Juilliard is also a major contributor to the cultural life of New York City, offering nearly
700 performances at Lincoln Center each year. In 1999, for its unparalleled standard of
excellence in arts education, Juilliard was awarded the National Medal of Arts, the U.S.
government’s highest honor for the arts.
“The pre-eminent theater in the country.” — The
New York Times
Lincoln Center Theater
Now in its 30th year, Lincoln Center Theater has earned praise from countless quarters
for its exemplary productions, and has been named as “the pre-eminent theater in the
country” by The New York Times.
Since the Theater’s re-establishment in 1985, LCT has received a total of 72 Tony Awards
—for the magnificent epic, War Horse, for Tom Stoppard’s trilogy The Coast of Utopia, for
acclaimed revivals of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific and August Wilson’s Joe
Turner’s Come and Gone, as well as for many other memorable productions throughout
the Theater’s history. LCT plays, musicals, and revivals have been seen by millions of
theater-goers at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, at Broadway
and Off-Broadway theaters, and on national tour.
The new LCT3 Claire Tow Theater for works by new
artists for new audiences opened in the late spring of
2012. In addition to producing plays and musicals,
Lincoln Center Theater sponsors numerous
educational and outreach programs for students
in public schools throughout New York City.
A vibrant home for the most creative and talented
artists working in opera
The Metropolitan Opera
The Metropolitan Opera is a vibrant home for the most creative
and talented artists working in opera, including conductors,
composers, musicians, directors, designers, choreographers—
and, of course, the world’s greatest singers.
Known as a venue for great voices for more than 130 years,
the Met has embarked on an ambitious program to increase
significantly the number of new productions from the world’s
most imaginative directors, to elevate further the company’s
theatrical standards, and to secure increased commitments
from opera’s greatest stars. Thanks to live, high-definition
performance transmissions to movie theaters internationally
through the Peabody Award-winning Live in HD series (later
seen on public television), an online subscription service for
streaming hundreds of opera performances, an around-theclock satellite radio station, streaming of performances on the
web, and the continuing tradition of the Saturday matinee radio
broadcasts, the onstage excitement at the Met today reaches
millions around the world.
Elevating classical dance in the hearts and minds of millions
New York City Ballet
One of the foremost dance companies in the world, New York City Ballet is
renowned for the athleticism and lyricism of its dancers, and for its ability to
present the largest repertory in the field of classical ballet. Founded by legendary
choreographer George Balanchine and philanthropist Lincoln Kirstein, New York
City Ballet presents dance of unrivaled excellence, while consistently developing
new work of the highest order.
New York City Ballet continues to build new audiences through extensive
touring, public outreach and curriculum-based education programs, and by
nurturing the next generation of dance professionals through the New York
Choreographic Institute and official training academy, The School of American
Ballet. Such activities bring more and more people to the ballet, promote the
highest artistic standards, and elevate the classical dance form in the hearts and
minds of millions.
World Leader
New York Philharmonic
The New York Philharmonic — a cultural leader in New York City, the United States, and the
world — connects with up to 50 million music lovers each season through performances,
education programs, and broadcasts. Having commissioned and/or premiered works by
leading composers from every era, the Orchestra now champions contemporary music
through the NY PHIL BIENNIAL, in venues across the city, among other projects. A resource
for its community and the world, the Philharmonic complements its annual free citywide
Concerts in the Parks with wide-ranging education programs, including the famed Young
People’s Concerts and the New York Philharmonic Global Academy, national and international
partnerships that cultivate tomorrow’s orchestral musicians. Renowned around the world,
having appeared in 432 cities in 63 countries, America’s oldest symphony orchestra has
always been a media pioneer, and today releases live performances through downloads and
online. Alan Gilbert became Music Director in 2009, succeeding 20th-century musical giants
including Bernstein, Toscanini, and Mahler.
Producing more professional ballet dancers than any other school in the United States
The School of American Ballet
The School of American Ballet is the official training academy of the
New York City Ballet and the premier school of its kind in the country. Since
its storied founding by legendary choreographer George Balanchine and
philanthropist Lincoln Kirstein, the School of American Ballet has produced
more professional ballet dancers than any other school in the United States.
Extraordinarily accomplished faculty members guide the transformation of
talented students into professional dancers and prepare them for placement
in leading American and international ballet companies. Beyond the classroom,
students are offered a unique opportunity to gain performance experience
dancing in the Spring Workshop Performances, SAB’s community lecture
demonstration program, an annual Student Choreography Workshop, and in
New York City Ballet productions.

Women’s Leadership Council &
Junior Council
Business Council
The Lincoln Center Corporate Fund’s Business Council encourages the
support of middle-market businesses and professional firms. Council
members represent a wide cross-section of middle-market businesses from
a variety of geographic areas that work together to provide special events
and other cultivation opportunities to build an important base of support for
Lincoln Center.
A new initiative of the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund, the Women’s Leadership
Council & Junior Council is a group of involved and impassioned female
business leaders coming together with the mutual goal of raising unrestricted
dollars for eight performing arts organizations and two professional performing
arts academies resident at Lincoln Center. The unrestricted nature of these
funds permits the organizations to use them to maximum effect, which
includes engaging in creative educational programming, presenting exciting
new productions, and mounting free performances.
