From the first moment through the turnstiles at Highbury, Nick Hornby was
hooked … This hugely successful play, adapted from the best-selling book,
digs deep into the mind of an obsessed football fan. Hornby’s story of his
Arsenal fixation is also a tale of family, football, class, identity and joy. Harking
back to the days when football was the people’s game rather than the
plaything of corporate sponsors and oligarchs, Fever Pitch is fast, funny,
exhilarating theatre.

The Fire
There’s a Monster
in My Piano
The Fire are fast becoming regarded as the most authentic sounding Jimi
Hendrix band around. Recreating the energy and sound of the guitar legend,
the band performs all the classic tracks from Hendrix’s musical legacy.
Capturing that unique Hendrix ‘feel’, The Fire’s live performance could be
the closest thing you’ll hear to Jimi himself.
‘A great band, they really capture the feel of the Jimi Hendrix Experience’.
John Slaughter, Blues Guitarist, Chris Barber Band
‘These guys are the most authentic Hendrix band around’.
Danny De Matos, A&R, Amber Music, New York
Q: What do you do when you hear a strange munching noise inside a piano?
A: Call the Piano Doctor of course.
He might be able to help with his bag full of ears and his collection of weird
and wonderful tools. But when he looks inside the musical notes are packing
their bags and running away. What are they scared of and who is hammering
at the keys? Garlic Theatre delight children and adults with this offbeat,
jazzy tale. Starring puppets, clowning, animation and a very highly strung
monster indeed.
For ages: 4 + Duration: approximately 45 minutes.

at concerts and festivals in Asia, the
Americas and Europe and has been
featured in numerous guitar magazines
all over the world. Every year, he

years by Acoustic Guitar Magazine.
All this has earned him a loyal worldwide following and influential fans such
as Eric Roche who was his guitar
teacher, ‘for about five minutes and then I heard him play’, Jon Gomm
awarded him ‘ten out of ten Gomms’ and Guthrie Govan who thinks that
‘what Thomas does on an acoustic guitar probably shouldn’t be legal.’

Holly, Eddie Cochran, Connie Francis, Elvis, Brenda Lee, Billy Fury, Dusty

The Albion Band
With a history stretching back forty years, The Albion Band has seen some
of the great names in English folk music appear in its ranks, from Martin
Carthy to Maddy Prior to Martin Simpson.
The fortieth anniversary of the band's founding sparked the idea of a
revamped, new line-up bringing together some of the finest talent in folk
music from a generation of performers. Under the watchful eye of founder
member Ashley Hutchings, the baton is passed on to his son Blair Dunlop
along with five of England's most promising musicians; Gavin Davenport,
Tom Wright, Katriona Gilmore, Tim Yates and Benjamin Trott. This new lineup recaptures the spirit of The Albion Band’s heyday with a rockier, edgier
approach to traditional English folk music.
The Haverhill Performing Arts Festival brings together children and young
adults up to the age of 18 to perform and compete in a variety of solo, duo
and group performances. From poetry, prose, acting, mime and group work
for the Speech and Drama Festival to choirs, instrumental and vocal for the
Music Festival, there is something for everyone to enjoy with entrants drawn
from across the region.
