The best possible lighting, with great savings
The introduction of LED technology has certainly revolutionized the lighting market.
This makes the market offering diversified, but also particularly confusing.
When users are presented with LED lighting, if they do not work in the field and are not
equipped to make an evaluation, they can become prey to those who “know how to sell”, no
matter what the quality of their product may be.
Therefore, the key to correct evaluation is to check and carefully compare the technical
features and performance of the various products that use this technology.
The introduction of this technology has blurred the line between luminaire and light source; no
longer are they distinctly separate elements. Today they are considered a single unit and the
stated performance must not apply only to the individual LED element but rather to the entire
luminaire, taking into account heat dissipation, optical and driver efficiency.
Thus the flux emitted by the lighting body is set against the overall absorption of the
luminaire.

The Reggiani LED Luce system
The LED LUCE system integrates the best high power, white light LEDs in exclusive
luminaire bodies, complete with the extraordinary characteristics of Reggiani IOS (the
IOS system is based on optics with a luminous efficiency of up to 90%); they are instantly
interchangeable and have very high optical and energy efficiency, a full range of beams and
lower installation costs.

The good Light
With their significant light output, power LEDs make it possible to use this technology, not
only for signage but also for lighting.
This has led to a multifarious market offer and, if it is not backed by adequate information,
users will tend to purchase low performance products or luminaires that may cause
photobiological hazards.
IEC and CIE have worked together to produce standard
EN62471 (IEC62471) “Photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems”. As a result,
the products that incorporate LEDs and that fall within the Low Voltage Directive field
of application must also satisfy the requirements set out in this standard, including
classification of the RISK GROUP (non-compliant products issued onto the market will
not be certified with the CE mark, making them unmarketable and the system using them
noncompliant).
RE LED LUCE luminaires do not present any photobiological hazard
They are perfectly safe for use in any environment
Once again, research and innovation, and the use of high quality materials have enabled
