(B, D) Day Seven - Coudres Island Day One - Travel to northern Virginia Named after famed 16th century explorer Jacques Cartier, this unique French speaking isle was once the first stop of ships entering the narrowing waters of the St Lawrence Seaway. Now a destination for vacationers, this beautiful island mirrors the French countryside in the same way Quebec city mirrors the European cities.
