French Canada and the St. Lawrence River

Day Seven - Coudres Island
Day One - Travel to northern Virginia
Named after famed 16th century explorer Jacques Cartier, this
unique French speaking isle was once the first stop of ships entering the narrowing waters of the St Lawrence Seaway. Now a
destination for vacationers, this beautiful island mirrors the
French countryside in the same way Quebec city mirrors the
European cities. You will enjoy a leisurely tour of this beautiful
island and have plenty of time to rest and relax. This evening will
be a fun evening of traditional entertainment. (B, L, D)
We set out this morning for a wonderful tour of the St Lawrence
River and French Canada. We travel through the mountains of Day Eight - Whale Watching
NC to our overnight stop in northern Virginia. (D)
After a relaxed full breakfast, you will enjoy breathtaking views

Day Four - Tour Montreal/Quebec City
Traveling south we drive through the charming village of Kennebunkport. We overnight in the Hudson River Valley. (B, D)
The next days are like visiting France, but you don’t have to fly!
We will visit some of the most impressive cathedrals in North
America. After our guided tour of Montreal this morning you Day Eleven - Travel through Pennsylvania
will have some free time for lunch and shopping in the city. In and the Pocono Mountains to Northern
the afternoon we will travel to charming Quebec City where you
will have time to explore and have dinner on your own. We Virginia

We have included a special treat for lunch today –we will visit the
Amish farm of our Friends Jacob & Naomi King for a traditional
Amish meal. We continue to central Virginia for our overnight.
Day Five - Tour Quebec City
Today, we tour the oldest walled city in North America. Our (B, L)
guided tour will take us through the narrow streets reminiscent
of classic Europe. You will be able to shop and enjoy lunch in an
environment that seems an ocean away, without having to board Day Twelve - Return to Georgia
a plane. A special dinner with our fellow travelers is included at We travel through Virginia and North Carolina and arrive home

Day Six - Coudres Island
Today, we continue up the St Lawrence where we visit the world
famous St Anne de Beaupre Shrine.—a spectacular cathedral
known as a place of miracles. We then take the ferry to the
French speaking island known by locals as Isle-aux-Coudres
