Women have worked hard to change and challenge various institutions in order to create possibilities for women of the future. Women have set the bar high for future generations and laid a foundation for each and every woman to become a leader in any field or profession she chooses. This year we will be taking a closer look at women and their role in education. We will be honoring Assistant Superintendent of the Wyandanch School District. Dr. Mary T. Jones. Once cited in Newsday as a prototypical educator, Dr. Mary Jones has literally built her entire education career on that definition. A high energy student achievement focused and goal driven educator, Dr. Jones approaches each challenge with an intrinsic flair for innovation, creative problem-solving and risk-taking to drive consistent bottom-line student growth.
