Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall
Ordered by King Rama V, The AnantaSamakhom Throne Hall
(The two-storey white marble palace) is a former reception
hall within Dusit Palace in Bangkok. It now serves as a museum
and is occasionally hosted for certain state occasions. There
is a large dome in the centre, surrounded by six smaller domes.
The domes and walls are covered with paintings depicting the
history of the Chakri Dynasty, from the 1st to the 6th reign.
Wat Ratchanaddaram
Meaning Royal Niece, this temple was ordered for construction
by King Rama III for Mom Chao Ying SommanusWattanavadi.
The temple is best known for the LohaPrasat a multi-tiered
structure 36 meters high with 37 metal spires, signifying the
37 virtues toward enlightenment. It is the third LohaPrasada
(brazen palace) in existence,modeled after the earlier ones in
India and Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka.
The City Pillar Shrine
Represents the official centre of Bangkok. It is believed that
within this shrine resides the city's guardian deity, PhraSayam
Thewathirat, and from this, the city derives its power. Many
Thais believe their wishes will be granted if they worship the
shrine.

Golden Mount
Duri During the reign of King Rama III, the decision was
made to build a stupa of huge dimensions to add to the
WatSaket temple as a copy of the one in Ayuthaya
province. An important Buddha relic from India is housed
in the stupa for visiting and praying There is an important
festival at WatSaket every November that includes a
beautiful candlelight procession right up to the Golden
Mount.
Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm Rajwaramahaviharn
Wat Pho, also known as or the Temple of the Reclining
Buddha The temple is known as the birthplace for
traditional Thai massage. It is a first grade royal monastery,
regarded as the most important one during the reign of
King Rama I of the Chakri Dynasty.
Democracy Monument
This monument was built to remember the
Siamese Revolution in 1932 which led to the
establishment of a constitutional monarchy in
what was then the Kingdom of Siam, it was
commissioned by Plaek Pibulsonggram, military
leader at the time, during the Phibun period.
The monument signifies a new westernized
structure of Bangkok, resembled by carved
panels on each of the 4 wings of the monument.
Grand Palace
Built in 1782 and for the next this building
was 150,and serve as the “home “ for the king,
the Royal court and the administrative seat of
government - the Grand Palace of Bangkok is
a grand old dame indeed. Within the palace
complex are several impressive buildings
including WatPhraKaew (Temple of the Emerald
Buddha), famous for it’s greatly revered Emerald
Buddha dating back to the 14th century. Today
the palace is still used for Many different
ceremonial and auspicious Occasion.
The National Theatre
Is the first theatre in Thailand to predominantly
show Thai Classical drama and features incredible
performances of Khon - drama where players
wear traditional Thai masks These are truly
wonderful productions; extremely ornate costumes,
excellent lighting and great entertainment.
Santi Chaiprakarn Park
The SantiChaiprakarn Park (known by the locals
as “Suan Santi”) runs along the stretch of the Chao
Phraya River, and is a favorite hangout for Thai
youngsters and tourists alike. The park was built
around the PhraSumen Fort, one of the only two
remaining forts built in the reign of King Rama I
to protect the city.
