MEDIA ADVISORY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LIVE AUDIENCE SHOWS UP FOR MAX CAPACITY HORSE RACING RADIO SHOW Saratoga Springs, NY – July 28, 2015 – The crowds showed up to kick off the Saratoga race season in style at last Thursday’s premiere of At The Post Live-‐Serling on Saratoga on ESPN 104.5 FM "The Team" as demonstrated by the show’s devoted legion of “standing room only” live studio fans, downtown at the Parting Glass Pub, and the buzz trafficked on Twitter (@atthepostlive and @andyserling). Host, Andy Serling ceremoniously rang in the ATPL season with Saratoga Race Course’s newly minted track announcer, Larry Collmus, veteran trainer, Kiaran McLaughlin, New York’s latest racing sensation and Aqueduct’s spring meet leading jockey, Angel Cruz, and TimeformUS’s resident NYRA handicapper, Mike Beer. Serling’s ability to animate racing and local Saratoga history with his unique in-‐depth but informal, uproarious banter with guests is the key to winning over racing fans, new and old. The guest lineup for Thursday, July 30, will be champion thoroughbred breeder and owner, BARBARA BANKE, celebrated horse racing photographer, BARABARA LIVINGSTON, and elite trainer, MARK CASSE. Barbara Banke is the proprietor of Jackson Family Wines and Stonestreet Farms. Building on the legacy left by her husband, Jess Jackson, and drawing from her experience as the head of a global winemaking empire, Barbara is committed to breeding, raising, and racing thoroughbreds of the highest caliber at Stonestreet. Under Barbara’s leadership, Stonestreet has increased the size of its racing stable, broodmare band and established the Stonestreet Training and Rehabilitation Center near Ocala, Florida. My Miss Aurelia was named the 2011 Champion Two-‐Year-‐Old Filly, becoming the first Stonestreet homebred to win championship honors. Classic Banke-‐Jackson owned thoroughbreds include all-‐time highest North American earning and Hall-‐of-‐Fame horse, Curlin (2007 Preakness Stakes, 2007 Breeders’ Cup Classic, 2008 Dubai World Cup), and 2009 Horse of the Year, Rachel Alexandra (Preakness, Kentucky Oaks, Woodward Stakes). Her undefeated 2009 season will forever be encapsulated in the August 2009 issue of Vogue, photographed by Steven Klein. Barbara D. Livingston is one of America's most respected horseracing photographers, having photographed the sport she loves for more than 35 years. Livingston was just ten when, in 1971, she first aimed a camera toward the Thoroughbred world. Two years later, she photographed greatness as Secretariat whisked past in a Saratoga workout. By the next year, when she watched Ruffian dominate the 1974 Spinaway, she had decided upon her goal: to record racing history. Ruffian's Spinaway remains the most exciting race Livingston has ever seen. In the more than two decades since, Livingston's photos have appeared on countless magazine covers and in nearly every trade publication. Her photography also reaches a mainstream audience. Her racing-‐related photographs have graced the pages of People, Newsweek, GQ, Sports Illustrated, Reader's Digest, and the cover of Vanity Fair. She has twice been awarded the highest photographic honor in Thoroughbred racing, the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Photography, is the author of four books, and currently, the chief photographer for Daily Racing Form. Mark E. Casse is a six-‐time Sovereign Award Outstanding Trainer, widely recognized for his work with thoroughbreds in Canada. In Canada, at Woodbine Racetrack, Casse won his seventh consecutive training title in 2013, and eighth overall, with a win total almost three times more than his nearest competitor and 19 stakes victories. He had his career-‐best year in 2012, ranking 7th in earnings in North America with earnings of $10,234,707 and 129 wins. He was ranked in the top five graded stakes winners. In 2014, Casse finally achieved a life-‐long dream, winning the prestigious Queen’s Plate with the filly, Lexie Lou, after previously being 0 for 17 in the race. Casse’s horse, Noble Bird, will be one of the major contenders in the upcoming Whitney Stakes at Saratoga. Mike Beer is TimeformUS’s analyst specializing in NYRA racing. Beer is a co-‐host of Talkin' Horses, NYRA's daily handicapping show, four days a week at Saratoga, and writes regularly for TimeformUS.com and NYRA.com. Prior to joining TimeformUS, Beer was a featured Daily Racing Form handicapper for NYRA tracks. This week’s ESPN Radio Encore Replay Schedule: •
