IN TENNESSEE: THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FIND THAT: …Tennessee's taxpayers should be able to easily access the details on how state government is spending their tax dollars and what performance results are achieved for those expenditures. MITIGATING RISK • Be proactive or get involved when the subject comes up ‐ it’s going to impact you. • Be honest about data quality – raw data publication only serves a few who are looking for something. • Identify non‐procurement spend – decide what to do with it ahead of time. • Look for glaring issues before the public find them.
