about the trail
The Connecticut Garden &
Landscape Trail is a joint project of the Connecticut Nursery & Landscape Association and the
Connecticut Greenhouse Growers Association.
Its purpose is to guide citizens of all ages to the
beautiful facilities of Connecticut’s green industry—its nurseries, garden centers, greenhouses,
and landscapers. Admission to all sites on the Trail
is free unless otherwise stated. Look for new additions to the Trail displaying
the official sign and also on

Landscaping
Benefits Your
Life & Home
• A landscaped yard adds 25%-35% to the
overall value of your home
• Improves air and water quality:
trees clean the air, produce oxygen,
lessen contaminants in the soil/water
• Tree & shrub root systems cut soil erosion
• Saves energy: cools your home in the
summer, blocks the cold wind in the winter
• Sound & light barrier: landscaping traps
unwanted noise and harsh artificial light
• Homes for wildlife: provides more natural
habitat & nesting sites
• Looks so beautiful & therapeutic.
