The Tunnel & LDBC Foundation Works of the Nghi
Son Cement Plant are 10 km long, connecting the
provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, and have been
constructed through the mountain at SL+40 m with 2.7
m width * 2.6 height
This is the first project in Vietnam that applied NATM
tunneling methods and utilized a hag loader for
disposing stone
The records in constructing tunnel of 80m/month made
by Song Da Corp was broken by Kumagai Gumi in this
project. The new record is 300 m of tunnel per month

The Ham Thuan Hydropower Plant Project was to build a 300 MW hydropower plant which is
located in the La Nga river basin in Lam Dong and Binh Thuan provinces. The Ham Thuan dam
could create 695 million m3 reservoir storage with HWL of 605.00m on the most upstream of the
La Nga river.
This project is a half of scale of the Hoa
Binh Hydropower Plant. While it took 15
years to build Hoa Binh Hydropower
Plant, Kumagai Gumi completed Ham
Thuan Hydropower Plant Project in only
45 months and saved 30% of
construction costs for the Government of
Vietnam in comparison with the
preliminary plan. This project also
utilized such high capacity equipment as
50 ton dump truck, 3-boom jumbo drill
etc., for the first time in Vietnam.

The My Son Sanctuary (UNESCO World Heritage) is a historic religious site built as a holy
land from the 4th to the 13th century by the kings of the Champa Kingdom in central Vietnam.
The Exchange of Notes between the Government of Japan and the Government of Vietnam
was signed on 17th December 2003 for the implementation of this Grant Aid Project. The
Project purposes are (1) provision of information on and introduction of the My Son
Sanctuary to the domestic and foreign tourists and (2) classification and arrangement of the
artifacts for safety storage by constructing exhibition and administration facilities at the
entrance area of the Sanctuary and providing necessary equipment.
Gold medal of construction quality for the work of My Son Exhibition has been
approved by the Ministry of Construction in 2006

Hue Central Hospital, established in 1894, is the oldest hospital in Vietnam. The Hospital is not
only the major medical treatment and training institution in Central Vietnam, but also one of the
three largest specialized medical centers in Vietnam, along with Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi and
Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Key elements of this project consist of the construction of
facilities (a 7-storey Central Examination Building, a 3-storey Outpatient Building and a singlestorey Mechanical Building) and the provision of modern medical equipment. The proposed
facilities will contribute to significant improvements of healthcare services to the people of
Central Vietnam
