In 2008, the Foundation
developed a conceptual
design for the project

$25,000 for the
conceptual drawings
September 2012 the
Foundation hosted a
legislative reception at
Rippon Lodge to foster
and understanding of
the project

The Brentsville One Room Schoolhouse
Project
In 2012, the Foundation
donated $20,310 to the
County to restore the
interior of the 1920’s
schoolhouse in
Brentsville
The project was
completed in eight
months utilizing County
construction staff

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park
Improvements
The Foundation has
actively supported
Bristoe Station through
donations to the
Alabama Cemetery
project and the Historic
fencing project
Over $8,000 has been
donated for these
projects

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park
Improvements
Alabama Cemetery Restoration
 This project commenced in
December 2011 with an Eagle
Scout project
 The Foundation donated funds
for the plaques
 The majority of donors are
from the Alabama Sons of
Confederate Veterans
 The cemetery was dedication
in September of 2012

Woodlawn House
 On January 22, 2008 the
Prince William Board of
County Supervisors approved
rezoning #2003-00373 for the
University of Virginia
Foundation
 Proffers associated with the
rezoning call for the Historic
Woodlawn House to be
donated to the County
 In 2011, The BOCS adopted
the Foundation work plan to
include acquisition of the
house

Woodlawn House
The house will be
placed on the National
Register of Historic
Places with a protective
easement over the
property
The Foundation will
then sell the house with
proceeds from the sale
to support Foundation
activities

Brentsville Jail Project
The County is currently
restoring the Brentsville
jail
The first phase includes
masonry repair, this will
be completed this
summer
The second phase
includes the final
restoration

The Foundation is
requesting approval to
fundraise for the
interpretation and
exhibit design for the
Jail
This will include artifact
cases, display boards,
and recreated
furnishings

Lucasville Schoolhouse
Lucasville Schoolhouse
opened in 2008 and is
open primarily by
appointment
The Foundation is
requesting to raise
funds to assist with
expanded operating
hours and for minor
