Cresset. We’re thrilled with this year’s programme, and delighted that
so many of you continue to support live entertainment in the city by
coming to see the shows. We launched our new revamped website
in September and it’s now even easier to book online, or to get the
information you need.
Don’t forget, it’s not just theatre and live entertainment, we do all sorts
here at The Cresset and welcome new challenges, so if you’re planning
an event get in touch - the events team are always happy to advise on
ways in which we can help. Full details of our function rooms and events

Once you’ve got your show tickets booked, plan to start your evening with
a meal in The Fayre Spot. Service starts 2 hours before show time, and
a pre ordering facility is available to save time. Advance booking is highly
recommended to guarantee availability, regular customers book months in
advance!

Booking Fees
Unless otherwise stated, all ticket prices detailed within this brochure
include a £1.50 booking fee. If you would like your tickets posting out, this
will be charged at £1.00. If you have any queries please contact the Box
Office. For full ticket booking terms and conditions please see our website.
Car Parking
Please note that the Bretton Centre car park outside Sainsbury’s is NOT
owned by The Cresset and if you park there for more than 3 hours you will
be subjected to an automatic parking fine.
Parking is FREE within The Cresset car park at the front of the building
(behind McDonalds and the Petrol Station).
A permit, which is required between the hours of 9am and 5pm, can be
obtained free of charge from reception on arrival.

The thrills of the Big Top meet the
enchanted world of panto in Circus Starr’s
brand new fun-filled production Pinocchio
joins the Circus, a fun-filled mix of
slapstick comedy, catchy tunes and cleverly
adapted fairy tale, together with the awe
and wonder of a world-class circus troupe.
Circus Starr is a not-for-profit organisation
hosting relaxed and inclusive performances
for children with disabilities, from disadvantaged backgrounds or facing other
challenges. A Social Enterprise with children at its heart, Circus Starr operates
a unique Donated Ticket Programme that allows thousands of children
to attend free shows thanks to the generous support of local businesses
who, in turn, enjoy the opportunity to ‘give back’ to their communities. Local

first Sporting Saturday event took place
at The Cresset in 2014, featuring over 40
sporting, health and wellbeing organisations
demonstrating disability sport and leisure
activities. Sporting Saturday 2015 attracted
over 1,000 people through its doors and it is
growing each year.
Sporting Saturday 2016 is set to be even bigger, with FREE Entry and offering
activities such as Wheelchair Fencing, Cheerleading and Martial Arts.

RARE Productions, the UK’s largest youth musical
theatre production company, is presenting the
popular show Bugsy Malone, from 17th to 19th
March 2016.
The stage musical follows the 1976 film, which was
produced with a cast consisting entirely of young
people, including a 13 year old Jodie Foster. It is set
in Chicago in the 1920’s and concerns the battle for
criminal supremacy of rival gangs led by Fat Sam
and Dandy Dan. Into the mix steps aspiring boxing
promoter Bugsy Malone, who becomes involved
with aspiring night club singer Blousey Brown, and
agrees to help Fat Sam turn the tables on his rival.
The ‘weapons’ in this story are, of course, splurge
guns and in the finale, just about everyone gets
‘splurged’ before getting up and realizing they can all
be friends after all.

The Mini, Junior and Senior weekly classes perform not only class pieces but
larger group numbers, whilst the Post 16 Academy perform their own group
medleys. West End Wildcats also perform pieces from the year’s events.
The show ends with the Year 2 Academy students performing their ‘leaving song’
as they head off for University or Theatre School. Always a sell out, Wildcats Live

highly polished performance.

Autumn plays host to some fantastic shows this year, and as always
culminates with our magical Christmas Panto.

With the usual mix of Comedy, Live Music, top quality Tribute Shows, Dance
and fantastic entertainment it’s another packed season.
September includes the latest performance from the Russian State Opera
with the iconic Carmen. These stunning live productions are fast becoming
our season highlight, and well worth a visit.
Comedy is always a big part of the programme and this season is no
exception as Kevin Bloody Wilson pays us a visit
on the second of his final farewell tours (perhaps!).
Also in the diary are Ross Noble, Henning Wehn,
Al Murray and a cracking Comedy Club lineup.
Our favourite Loose Woman, Jane McDonald
brings her latest tour to The Cresset on
18th September for an unmissable night of
entertainment, and there’s loads more live music
in October as The Sensational 60’s Experience return with their biggest
lineup ever!
