True Universality Meets High Performance.
Finally a fixture that is both flanged for plaster and Grid for T-bar ceilings without compromise. The
same fixture works for both without any added parts. The key is a new design that takes the best
advantage of the reduced T5 lamp size. The result is a one piece housing only 2.8 inches tall that
has all the feature of both NEMA type F and G luminaires. Also included in the XL series are low
profile surface luminaires with a similar design optimized for the T5 lamp. Together with many of
the advanced cleanroom and wet location features the XL series is the fixture of choice for your
next project.

Low Profile 2x4 Luminaires for Surface Installations
Specifications:
Cross Section
Housing: One-piece, seam welded, hole-free 18 gauge aluminum construction.
(OPD option shown)
One Piece Door: One-piece 18 gauge CRS or 20 gauge type 304 stainless steel
door frame with 90° bevelled edges. Door frame NSF gasketed to housing.
Door Frame is suspended from housing during relamping using two stainless
steel cables. Lens is inverted and silicone sealed in door frame and secured with
continuous stainless steel lens retention system. See OPD option below

Channel Door: 20 gauge CRS or type 304 stainless steel channel frame with
reinforced corners and welded stiffeners. Door frame 100% Neoprene gasketed
to housing and to lens. Door Frame is suspended from housing during
relamping using two stainless steel cables. Lens is inverted and neoprene sealed
in door frame. See CFD option below.
Reflector: Full reflector panel white powder coat finished (minimum reflectivity
88%).
Lens: High durability .135” thick virgin acrylic with P12 prismatic pattern. See
“Options” for other choices.
Lamps: Select lamp options listed below. Lamps supplied by others.
Electrical: Standard ballast - Electronic less than 10% THD high performance
instant start universal voltage (120-277 volt). See options for other choices.
Finish: Gloss white high reflectance 1000 hr. salt spray polyester powder coat
finish standard for all housings and CRS door frames. Stainless steel doorframes
are satin polished unless option WHT is chosen.
Installation: Four .312” holes for surface mounting. Two .875” flattened and
silicone sealed knockouts for wiring. See below for other mounting options.
