with Dennis “DT” Turner • Sponsored by Worth Sports I t’s getting HOT on the softball diamond, and the new Worth slowpitch bats are in full swing. Everyone knows about the big four with the Titan 5.4 technology that we launched in April, but just a couple months ago we launched two new bats that are getting huge reviews from you die-hards. The new BJ Fulk Mayhem and the new ASA Toxic have hit the ball fields and are already making an impact. The BJ Fulk Mayhem is a 100% one piece composite with that game proven Mayhem technology, and with the balanced loading makes this the perfect bat for players looking for consistent per- formance and the traditional feel of a Worth composite bat. The new ASA Toxic is also a one-piece 100% composite bat with balanced loading. This new ASA bat has been getting rave reviews from all over the country, and for you players that have ASA leagues and tourneys around your area, this is the bat to go out and get before the season is over. Well it looks as if Resmondo/Worth is back on track, putting a winning streak together of three NITs this past month starting with the Gateway Classic in St. Louis. It seems that this Mike Turney Memorial Classic was the one to jump start this most talked about super major team and get them on the right track to prove that they are not too old as many have claimed. These guys headed into the Dudley looking to continue the streak, but ran into the other two majors teams, (Long Haul and Dan Smith) to come away with a third place finish. There is still a lot of season to go and with the infamous Smokey around the corner, a win could send the Resmondo boys into the final tourneys of the year on a good note. Jeff Hall and BJ Fulk are still battling it out on the WSL Long Haul Bomber tour, which has taken them to several major league baseball stadiums to compete against the likes of Team Easton, Team Miken and Team TPS. Team Worth currently sits fourth in the points standing, but I know that these two bombers will get back to compete for the Manufacturers Cup at the end of the season. Jeff and BJ have been there before and know what it takes to overcome this deficit that they are in. You will be able to see below what locations Team Worth will be at in the future 30 minutes prior to the Major League baseball game. August 21 • Atlanta Braves Team TPS vs. Team Worth TBD • Team Easton vs. Team TPS TBD • Team Miken vs. Team TPS September 13 • San Diego Padres QUALIFIERS Now here is something we are really excited about. Worth has partnered with Red Horse Racing of the Sprint NASCAR Nationwide Camping Truck Series. Since NASCAR has the same demographic as slow-pitch softball, we said this is a no brainer. You will see on the #11 truck driven by TJ Bell and the #17 truck driven by Timothy Peters, a Worth Softball decal just behind the drivers’ door on both sides of the truck. The Red Horse Racing team has been very gracious in letting some of our sales staff and their dealers come into the pits during the actual race to see what goes on first hand during a NASCAR race. You can go to www.redhorseracing.net to get more information on the drivers and to see if they will be racing in a town near you. A special “Thanks” to Kevin Ray of RHR to allow us to be part of this team. Well softball die-hards, that just about wraps it up for me. I just wanted to touch base and give you a short recap over the past couple of months of what Worth has been doing on and off the field. The season is halfway through and I know a lot of you are gearing up for your state and national tournaments. So with that being said, stay focused and play hard. DT Moving? Don’t leave without us!
