An den Schnittstellen (Terminals, Häfen) können zusätzliche
Serviceleistungen (wie Stauen/Entladen, Distribution, Depot,

With unaccompanied combined transport, Rail Cargo
Operator offers a multimodal transport system covering
all modes of transport that are optimally combined in a
homogenous transport chain for every consignment.
Multimodal transport chains have the advantage that
customers only buy that part of a transport service needed to
meet their individual requirements.

U.N. RAIL-AustriaShuttle – Wels-Triest v.v.
Rail Cargo Operator und der türkische Fährenoperator
U.N. Ro-Ro Isletmeleri A.S. bringen ein neues Zugsprodukt auf den Markt.
Der U.N. RAIL-Austria-Shuttle ist Teil der Intermodalkette
zwischen Türkei, Österreich und Deutschland. Damit wird
der Transport von ISU-Trailern (Innovativer Sattelauflieger
Umschlag) mit türkischen Zugmaschinen sichergestellt. Mit
diesem System können erstmals auch nicht kranbare Sattelauflieger unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen zwischen Terminals
auf der Schiene transportiert werden. Derzeit ist das System in
der Relation Wels-Triest v.v. im Einsatz.

Rail Cargo Operator and the Turkish RoRo operator
U.N. Ro-Ro Isletmeleri A.S. introduce a new train
service to the market.
U.N. RAIL-Austria-Shuttle is the new intermodal chain between
Turkey, Austria and Germany. The transport of ISU-trailers
(Innovative Semi-trailer handling Unit) is ensured with Turkish
tractors. For the first time ISU system allows non-cranable
semi-trailers to be mobilized from one terminal to another
directly by railway. This system is currently in operation
between Wels and Trieste.

Die Rollende Landstraße ist ein schienengebundenes
Transportsystem, bestehend aus Niederflurwagen für
die Beförderung von LKW und Begleitwagen für die
Mitfahrt der LKW-Lenker.
Rail Cargo Operator ergänzt sein Intermodalportfolio um die
Rollende Landstraße und ist mit ihr bereits Marktführer in
Europa. Mit hoher Frequenz der Züge und festem Fahrplan
wird ein leistungsfähiges Angebot für die Transportwirtschaft
geboten. Die mitfahrenden LKW-Lenker werden von einem
Serviceunternehmen im Begleitwagen gegen Entgelt mit
Speisen und Getränken versorgt.
Entlastung der Umwelt
Angesichts der steigenden Umweltbelastungen ist es Ziel
von Rail Cargo Operator, durch weniger Verkehr auf den Straßen für eine Entlastung der Umwelt und für mehr Lebensqualität (geringere Lärmbelastung, Reduzierung des CO2-Ausstoßes, positive Gesundheitsaspekte) zu sorgen. Die ROLA schont

Transportation of a HGV
and its driver by rail
The rolling road is a rail-bound transport system
consisting of low-platform railway wagons for the
transportation of HGV and accompanying passenger
wagon for the HGV drivers.
Rail Cargo Operator expanded its intermodal portfolio with
the rolling road and has already become a market leader
with this concept on a Europe-wide scale. With the high
frequency of the trains and the fixed timetable, an efficient
and comprehensive service is being made available to the
transportation industry. The accompanying HGV drivers can
buy food and drinks in the passenger wagon that are supplied
by a service company.
