WELL INTERVENTION VESSEL
The Helix 534 is a DP 2 Drill Ship MODU modified for well intervention
in water depths to 10,000 ft. This multipurpose vessel provides a stable
platform for a wide variety of tasks, including well intervention, field
and well decommissioning, installation and recovery of subsea trees/
wellheads, well testing and emergency response. The vessel features
a well intervention deck, supporting coiled tubing, cement unit, and
returns separation unit. A deep lowering winch allows offline activity for
initial startup/recovery of tooling. The Helix 534 also features a 26 ft x
10 ft x 18 ft unobstructed moon pool with 3 x 80 ton skidding systems,
a 200 ton skid with tubular slips, a 73⁄8" intervention riser system, the
ability to rack back 10,000 ft of drill pipe/riser, a well test deck, and
an overall deck capacity more than 8,000 tons.
