DepEd Advocacy Project (SY 2015-2016)B

The mission of “Value of Hardwork
and Discipline Advocacy Campaign”
is to recognize the importance of
evolving an advocacy to inculcate
and reinforce Elementary and High
School students’ knowledge on
“Hardwork and Discipline and to
help teachers achieve success”.
On its 5th year of implementation, the
advocacy has touched more than 600,000
young minds and hearts to embrace and
practice the values of Hardwork and
Discipline. It also has inspired thousands of
teachers nationwide to help advocate these
noble values that slowly dwindles from the
Filipino custom. Further, the advocacy
helped the teachers and all the staff in the
education department reached by the
advocacy to understand, plan and save for
their future.
The advocacy may have faced multitude
challenges and obstacles but due to the
persistence and motivation to champion our
commitment to achieve success in advocating
Hardwork and Discipline, the advocacy
reached higher grounds…it reached a total
269 schools, 560% more than the committed
48 schools to go to for SY 2015-2016… and we
continue on to our promise to reach the
summit.

dressed by Mama Renee Salud to teach
them how to be elegantly dressed even
with simple clothes.

jam packed with 182 educators present

Everyone was very excited to have a face to
face encounter with Dr. Dinah Mindo. They
participated in all the activities of the session
and even went one on one consultation with
Dr. Mindo on how to be effective educator.

Mr. Fred Zabala, Regional Sales Manager for
Visayas of Fortune Life was also very excited
in giving his lecture on Financial Literacy in
front a very huge crowd.

The very talented ballerina of the host school
performed a special number to entertain

massage. They stayed till late afternoon to

Dr. Roel Bermejo, Schools Division Superintendent
welcomed the Party of the Fortune Life Advocacy
Campaign a day before the event.

Dr. Bermejo issued the memorandum to all the
schools in the division. All schools were properly
represented.
•
Special Education Program Supervisor Mr. Jose
Fuentes was assigned by Dr. Bermejo to oversee the
program.

Supervisors, Principals, Master Teachers coming
from 25 different schools from DepEd Roxas City
attended the session of Dr. Dinah Mindo.
•
It was another great Financial Literacy Teaching
Session conducted by Mr. Fred Zabala, Regional
Sales Manager for Visayas of Fortune Life

They enjoyed their Me Time. All the teachers in
attendance requested for a repeat next school year.

schools in Puerto Princesa to attend the Life
Coaching Session

the program along with 3 district supervisors

The venue was jam packed with attendees pouring
from different schools. Teachers from other
seminars and activities continously arrived until
11am. Everyone was very pleased to have Dr.
Paraluman Giron’s Life Coaching Session.

room only” session. The sales team of Fortune Life
also had a very good day with the teachers.

Teachers from the different islands of Palawan came
very early to attend their first ever Life Coaching
Session

Dr. Pablo Abon District Supervisor made sure that
the event was successful. A representative of the
Mayor was also present to grace the event.

Despite the 4 hours winding travel, Dr. Paraluman
Giron made sure that her time with the teachers are
productive . She was active in imparting knowledge,
giving advises and Life Coaching the teachers.
•
Mr. Brian Servando, AVP for NCR 1/ South Luzon of
Fortune Life was very happy with the turn out of the
event. As reported, teachers who were not able to
attend the session are clamoring for a repeat. To
date, principals are reporting that teachers are in
constant communication with the sales staff of
Fortune Life to avail of the insurance.

A repeat of the Life Coaching session in
Bacolod showed continuous support from
the teachers. There were 8 schools from
the division in attendance.

Hall to be the venue of the Life Coaching
• Congressman Jeffrey Khonghun sponsored
the morning snacks of all the participants.

on how to properly wear school uniform was
also coached by Mama Renee.

Iligan City. He is the youngest of 11
children. His father passed away during his
early age. He experienced all the hardships
in life, but with the support of his mother
and his unfathomable hardwork, discipline
and perseverance, he graduated and
became the youngest principal of Iligan City.
Dr. Maria Teresita R. Gapate,
Awardee from DepEd Ilocos Sur. She is
a very young principal who instituted
positive change in every school she
handled. She has the “Midas Touch”
that all the schools became successful
in their academic and other scholastic
