Winter Break
We had a fabulous winter break! In addition to our Angry Bird
Day and Science day the students in K-2 had so much fun creating
pirate ships out of boxes on Pirate Day.
Operation Minnesota Nice
During the month of November the K-2 students explored the values
of gratitude and thankfullness. We collected items to send to
service men and women overseas. They are know on their way
across the world. We hope hear from the service men and women
that receive our donations.
Winter Weather
Please send outdoor gear with your student! We
opportunity to go outside everyday. We realize
students forget their outdoor clothing. If you
outgrown snow pants, jackets, or boots we would

New Staff
Joe Mathison is now working at Alice Smith Kids & Company before
school. Joe also works at Eisenhower Kids & Company and on the
Tanglen playground. Joe has attended UMD for the past three
years and is now finishing up his degree online.
Good-bye Brandy
You may have noticed that one of our staff is missing. Brandy
Nutt-O’Connor has left Alice Smith Kids & Company to spend more
time with her family. We will miss Brandy’s smiling face every
morning.
