FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
The Flu season has arrived already. We have a number of staff absent with it. Please
remember to keep your child at home if they show any symptoms as we try not to spread
the infec9on amongst our school community members. The staff who are sick with the

virus had students in their class who came to school unwell and have passed it onto their
teachers.
Next Monday some of our students are performing at the Brolga Theatre for the
CALENDAR OF
EVENTS
Eisteddfod. These students are the members of our Hip Hop Dance group and have been
prac9cing well. Their teacher Rose is very pleased with how they have progressed. We wish
them well for their event and I’m sure they will do us proud.

Dukes Camp
Leaving on Monday is the very excited group of students who are off to the Duke of
Edinburgh Awards Scheme camp. Luckily the weather isn’t too cold so they should have a
wonderful experience. It is a fabulous camp and teaches the students many life skills as well
as keeping them fit and healthy with bike riding they will be doing. You can expect to have a
very 9red child arrive home on the 18th, full of stories of what they did whilst on camp.
