Constantine Kitsopoulos welcome members of the newly
formed OK Mozart All-State Youth Orchestra to perform in
a joint concert featuring Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 “Titan”.
Oklahoma’s finest young musicians will play next to some
of the world’s greatest professional musicians for a thrilling
celebration of OK Mozart Festival’s 30th Anniversary. Jon
Kimura Parker will join Amici New York for a performance of
Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, one that Beethoven admired
above all others.
Frank & Lola’s has been integrally involved with OK Mozart
throughout the year, so we’re delighted to kick off the adult
portion of our Opening Night Celebration with a block party
concert at the corner of 2nd Street and Dewey Ave., featuring the
music of Joe Sundell, Loves It! and Ramsay Midwood.
Take a black-tie dinner/dance excursion to Imperial Austria, circa
1844, when “The Waltz King” Johann Strauss II made his debut
at Dommayer’s Casino in the Hietzing part of Vienna. Dance to
the romantic Viennese waltzes and polkas played by members
of the Amici New York orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director
Constantine Kitsopoulos. Enjoy cocktails on the new JohnstoneSare rooftop bar, plus heavy hors d’oeuvres and dancing in the
newly restored landmark building.

Characters of Mozart’s enchanting opera “The Magic Flute” have
charmed audiences all over the world. Locally, Amici New York
and the Bartlesville Choral Society will perform a 90-minute semistaged version in English for family enjoyment as arranged and
conducted by OKM Artistic Director, Constantine Kitsopoulos,
featuring singers selected from throughout Oklahoma.

Woolaroc Outdoor Concert
OKM’s 30th Anniversary celebration continues at Woolaroc with a
selection of patriotic favorites by John Williams, John Philip Sousa
and others as played by the Amici New York orchestra. Topping
off the evening will be Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture accompanied
by the sounds of cannons and the visual thrill of fireworks.

Bartlesville Choral Society under the direction of Susan Mueller
joins the Amici New York orchestra and Artistic Director
Constantine Kitsopoulos in presenting Beethoven’s most exciting
work. This concert promises to bring the house down with the

at Oberlin Conservatory.
A favorite at numerous summer
festivals, they continue to

perspective. They serve as the Faculty String Quartet-inResidence at the Sarah & Ernest Butler School of Music at the
University of Texas, Austin. Jon Kimura Parker will be joining Miró
Quartet to perform some of the most beloved chamber music for
piano and strings.
