The Multifunctional Ubas ROV
Basket System includes a number of
different types of ROV baskets. These
baskets are available in their
standard configuration, or they can
be re-configured for Hydraulic Flying
Lead, HFL, and Jumper deployment
and installation.
o Suited for shorter HFL’s / Jumpers. Typically 45-50m
long. Ubas B ROV Basket with hinged down sides will
accommodate an approx. 60-65m long jumper.
o The basket includes a single cylinder Ubag placed
opposite the MQC panel for balancing purposes.
Ubas G - HFL Basket
General
o Low cost deployment and installation alternative.
o All required equipment available on short notice, one
or several basket units.
o For basket selection and configuration, see Flying Lead
Installation - Basket configuration and selection guide.
o MQC parking panels and stands will be mounted onto
the basket prior to delivery. See ROV Basket Panel &
Stands Datasheet.
o Supplier specific and generic MQC parking receptacles
are available.
o Low cost, fast installable Ufists (Monkey Fists) for
basket and seabed handling of the HFL / jumper are
available. These includes anti-slip attachment straps
and temporary shortening rings. See Ufist – Engineered

o Alternative 1: The baskets are provided with a vertical

o If requested Udeco perform loading including pull-out
test of HFL & Jumpers.
o In case of rock-dumping or concrete mattress
placement after HFL / jumper installation, the jumper
can be provided with the Uzip protection / separation
sleeve that is wrapped around hoses and similar prior
to the installation of the outermost spiral guard.
o ‘Soft’ Ubag mattresses (multi-cylinder bags) is also
available for jumper stabilisation / protection

Alternative 2: The baskets are provided with a vertical
mounted bolt-on MQC parking stands that include the
MQC parking receptacles, ROV grabbers and marking
(1 to 4). The stands can be laid down for transport and/
or basket stacking.
Panel and stands can be positioned on the basket to suit
the subsea operation / basket landing position and
orientation.
Suited for longer HFL’s / Jumpers, typically up to
110m long (i.e. dependent on jumper diameter).
Alternatively, it can contain two shorter jumpers.
Can also be provided with compartments for combined
HFL and EFL/OFL installation.
Ubas F - HFL Basket
Ubas A & B HFL - Baskets
o Purchase basket for HFL installation, stackable.
o Includes 2 off MQC parking stands
o Suited for longer HFL’s / Jumpers, typically up to
220m long.
