The D. J. Race Team has been in the process of building its
new 2010 Corvette. Would you believe it is not going to be
Yellow! It is going to be a ACI Z06 wide body, a wider tire
car, and small improvements throughout. The car is built for
SCCA’s Super Touring Class (STO) and will be campaigned
in National Events.
The Corvette will be debuted at the Corvettes America Show
in the ACI (American Custom Industries) display, which will
be right next to the DJ Racing display. ACI makes the wide
body panels, which will be on the car. Be sure to stop by
ACI’s and take a look at the new car.
“I’ve wanted to try a lot of
new ideas”said Danny
Kellermeyer, “and this will
now give me the opportunity
to do this. If you don’t stay
ahead of the game you will
soon be passed, and this car
will be our vehicle to test a
lot of new ideas”.
Danny Kellermeyer of Ortonville, MI and Robert Pfeffer of
Avon, IN finished 1st and 2nd at the Grattan Raceway double
SCCA National. The two DJ Racing teammates switched
positions as the first National saw Danny leading Robert for
the finish. The second race found the two drivers reversed
with Danny chasing Robert.
“Robert drove a good race on Sunday and I just lost sight of
him” said Danny. “That is Roberts first National win this
year and he had an awesome drive. It was a good way to start
off the 2011 SCCA National season”. Danny was the SCCA
2010 STO Great Lakes National Champion and was awarded
the 2010 SCCA Great Lakes “Driver of the Year”.
Danny’s efforts in the first National race did credit him with
a new track record in STO (1:25.27). He now holds all three
Corvette class records (ITE, TCC, and STO) at this track.
The Grattan track is one of SCCA’s most challenging
circuits. It is a very technical 14 turn 2.5-mile course with
elevation changes and blind corners.

The DJ Racing team is excited about the exciting shows coming up this season.
“Corvette Hospitality” at WHRRI, “America’s Corvette Show” and “Back to the
Bricks” are three of the largest and most prestigious shows around. The team is pleased
to have a presence with their cars and transporters at all the shows.

The “Corvette Hospitality” event is hosted at the Waterford Road Race event July 16th and was established to thank all the
Corvette owners and fans for their support throughout the year. Owners and fans get to see Corvette racing at its best. They
will be able to meet the drivers, have their parade laps, and be an active part of the race weekend.
The Corvettes America Show is one of the largest Corvette shows in the nation. This year’s show will be Aug 13th and will be
held at the Alpine Valley ski lodge. This year is the 11th show and DJ Race has been a part of all the previous events. DJ Race
will support a Corvette track day Aug 12th at WHRRI and instruct Corvette owners on track etiquette.
The Corvette Reunion is held as a part of the Back to the Bricks Car Show Aug. 20th. B2B is one of the largest car shows in the
nation. Last year approximately 35,000 classic and antiques automobiles lined the streets of several blocks of downtown, Flint,
MI. The spectator crowd was estimated at over 350,000. This will be the 2nd Annual Corvette Reunion at this downtown
show. Flint is the birthplace of the Corvette. Last year over 300 Corvettes came “home” for the 1st reunion. This year 800
Corvettes are expected to be on display.
