Cameron’s Weifang, China, facility is focused specifically on meeting the needs of the fast-growing oil and gas industry in the region. The 88,802-sq-ft (8250-sq-m) plant is located in Weifang City in the Shandong Province of China. The city is an important transportation hub between the Shandong Peninsula and the inland, and is a major base for manufacturing and processing agricultural and sideline products in the country. It also is close to Qingdao City and not far from Jinan City, the capital and major port in the Shandong Province. Strategic sourcing in Shanghai and Wuxi (in the Jiangsu Province) in China allow Cameron’s quality teams to certify suppliers, conduct supplier audits and coordinate procurement for the Weifang facility and Cameron’s other plants around the globe. 1 Facility Capabilities and Equipment With an area of 88,802 sq ft (8250 sq m) and a staff of 49 personnel, the Weifang facility can assemble and test valves from sizes 2” to 24”. • State-of-the-art manufacturing equipment • Controlled raw materials • Advanced assembly areas • Specialized testing equipment • Quality paint stations • Custom packing and shipping 2 Strategic Sourcing Centers To facilitate production at the Weifang facility, as well as at its other manufacturing plants worldwide, Cameron has established two strategic sourcing centers in China. These centers are required to qualify, develop and monitor our Chinese suppliers and enable Cameron to meet the quality standards we expect.
