Bob Spicer, age 76, of Tecumseh, passed away, January 22, 2014, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He was born October 23, 1937 in Detroit, MI the son of Ronald and Virginia (LeBow) Spicer. On June 22, 1988 he married Susan Spicer in the Philippines and she survives. Robert was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving in a test unit at Camp Pendelton, Oceanside, CA. He was a 3rd Degree Black Belt in the Martial Arts at the The Black Dragon's Den Martial Arts Academy, Adrian. Bob owned and operated Dick's Body Shop, Tecumseh, for fifteen years. He parachute jumped over 600 times mostly at Sky Dive Tecumseh. Robert was part of the first ever Canopy Stack parachute jump into Michigan International Speedway. He did a successful BASE Jump from the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia. In addition to his wife Susan, Bob is survived by his children, Nicolette Spicer-Hoffman, Jennifer Lynn (Edward) Houseman, Robert Alan Spicer, Jr. (Jessica), and Nicholas Vincent Spicer; 5 grandchildren, Stacy Linn Hoffman, Danielle Nicole Moore, Skylar Malissa Ergle, Sierra Nicole Watson, and Robert Alan Spicer III; 2 great grandchildren; and brother Frank (Angela) Spicer. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carrie Mae; and Baby Morgan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh with Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Frankfort, MI. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian.
