Introduction
Rolugro is a young, dynamic and innovative company, where sports clubs, businesses and
individuals not only can go for the installation of artificial turf or pitches, but also for the
maintenance of artificial turf/ pitches. Besides that, they can also get information and advice
for the installation/construction of Multiplaycourts, boardingsystems and various accessories
for around the pitch. Rolugro delivers and provides the whole package, from A to Z.
Equipment
Regular appropriate maintenance is essential to the long-term playability of a football turf
pitch. The pitch’s playing life will be seriously reduced if it is not cared for properly. Brushing
and cleaning the pitch correctly and checking seams will ensure not only enjoyable playing
conditions in the long term, but also that the installation will be recertified.
Maintenance packages
One of Rolugro’s core activity is the development, manufacturing and worldwide distribution
of maintenance equipment meeting highest performance standards. Over the past years we
have learned that maintenance is essential to keep synthetic turf pitches in good condition.
Especially for 3rd generation pitches for amongst others soccer and rugby, maintenance needs
to be carried out carefully, even when the maintenance is far more limited than on natural
grass.
FIFA has recognized the need for good maintenance and has made it obligatory to supply a full
maintenance set to all fields that are installed and recommended FIFA 2** or FIFA 1*.
Good maintenance means the right maintenance procedures (as specified by you as turf
producer) as well as utilizing the right maintenance equipment.
We recommend to link maintenance procedures and the use of the right maintenance
equipment to the warranty on the field!
3 Basic maintenance procedures to follow:



Brushing; uprights the matted fibers and levels the top portion of the infill
Raking; prevents fibers from matting down, ensures infill is loosened and provides
drainage
Sweeping; levels the infill
FIFA Quality Concept for Football Turf
Maintenance Equipment:
“For a field to be certified under the FIFA Quality Concept for Football turf the facility operator
shall ensure that all the equipment specified by the surface manufacturer for the installed
Football Turf product is available to maintain the field in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
The facility operator shall ensure all required maintenance equipment is available for
inspection by the test institute during the field test.” (Bron: Fifa Quality Concept for Football Turf, 2009)
Rolugro offers two types of maintenance packages in a special constructed box. It will be
delivered in your company colors and with the company name and logo.

Bristly Mini
The Bristly Mini is a triangle brush unit for smaller surfaces, like indoor artificial pitches and private
gardens.
Because of the open arrangement of the brush there will not be any more accumulations of
rubber granules. The brushes consist of perfect length and thickness ratio ensuring that the Bristly
Mini does its work without damaging the pitch. It uprights fibers of the artificial pitch and prevents
algae growth and moss development.
The Bristly Mini has an operating width of 80 cm and can be dragged by just one person.
Rolugro also delivers Bristly hand brushes, which are extremely useful for smaller artificial pitches and
for corners the Bristly Mini cannot reach.

Bristly Junior
The Bristly Junior is a triangle drag broom dragged by a small tractor. Specially designed for smaller
pitches and unreachable places for the Bristly Power.
The Bristly Junior is a special triangle brush unit coarsely populated to prevent clogging with rubber
granules. The length of the brushes are optimized to prevent damage of the pitch.
The tires fitted to the Bristly Junior makes it easy to move and store the equipment.
The brush is dragged by a mini-tractor with a minimum of 15 HP. The tractor-tires must have a lawncover profile.

Bristly Regular
The Bristly Regular is the follow up of the Bristly Junior: a drag broom for the weekly
maintenance of a pitch. Fully extended the brush has a width of 200 cm, which makes it very
compact.
By the positioning of the brushes under the broom, the borders and corners of the pitch are
easily accessible so that rubber granules will be brushed back in the direction of the field. The
patented brushes are coarsely populated to prevent clogging with rubber granules.
On the drag broom there is a separate unit which can periodically decompact the field.
The equipment is very user-friendly and therefore easy to operate by just one person.
Because of the unique folding system it is simple and easy to clean the brushes on any desired
spot. It is easy to transport and takes little space while stored.
Because of the Rolugro patented brushes with special fibres for sand and/or rubber infill and
the positioning of the brushes to the frame, the Bristly Regular contributes to a good quality
equipment maintenance of the current generation of artificial turf fields.
For years we have talked about the triangle brush or A- brush for maintenance of artificial
grass fields. But because of the shape of the brush it will always push rubber granules or infill
materials to the sides. Also, the width of the triangle brush is usually too small for an artificial
grass field. "Cleaning the brush is also tricky because the brush needs to be upright to get the
infill under humid conditions out of the brush", tells mister Oude Luttikhuis, owner of Rolugro.
"Rolugro has the solution for all these problems and developed the Bristly Regular. This drag
broom is unique. Also because there is a separate unit available to be able to decompact the
field. "The unit with the springing pens can then for example once per two months be set on
the machine to ensure a good drainage of the artificial grass field”.
The Bristly Regular can be produced incl. or excl. decompaction unit.
To guarantee the best result of the artificial grass, it is desirable to finish the maintenance
with a drag mat. The drag mat has a self-leveling working method and gets rid of the static
capacity of the artificial grass. The rubber or sand will drop to the bottom and the field will be
beautifully green again. With a working width of 2 x 1.50 meter and performed with a chain
or a rope, the mat is easy to attach behind a tractor or behind a brush machine.

Bristly Compact
The Bristly Compact is a drag broom with a working width of 1,20 meters. It is especially
designed for the maintenance of small artificial fields and artificial tennis courts. The Bristly
Compact is easy to work with.
Because of the Rolugro-patented brushes with special fibers for sand and/or rubber infill and
the positioning of the brushes to the frame, the Bristly Compact contributes to a good quality
equipment maintenance of the current generation of artificial turf fields and tennis courts.

Bristly 2.0 Combi
The Bristly 2.0 Combi, a unique maintenance machine for your artificial pitch. This machine
can perform two maintenance operations with one machine.
The Bristly 2.0 Combi has a working width of 2 meters and can be easily attached to the 3point linkage of the tractor.
The unique quick-change system allows you to quickly and easily convert the machine from a
brushing machine to a decompating machine.
Bristly Power
The Bristly power is a drag broom connected to the rear lift mechanism of a tractor. Fully
extended the brush has a width of 320 cm.
The working width of the equipment provides for rapid maintenance of a pitch. A major additional
advantage is that the borders and corners of the pitch are easily accessible. The patented brushes
are coarsely populated to prevent clogging with rubber granules. The equipment is very userfriendly and therefore easy to operate by just one person. Special hooks make it very easy to move
the equipment with a forklift truck.
The Bristly Power can be equipped with several drag units such as a trawl, or mesh unit. These drag
units can be used on a natural pitch for example after draining and sanding. However, the drag
broom could also be utilized for this purpose.
Underneath the Bristly Power there is provision to attach a weeding unit, which is extremely
useful as pre-treatment before major maintenance of pitches or lawns. We will be pleased to advice
you with the specifications of the weeding unit.
Bristly Power 3.2 Quick Change
The decompacting unit with its quick-change system is a unique application for the Bristly
Power 3.2. This machine can perform two maintenance operations with one machine.
The Bristly Power 3.2 has a working width of 3,20 meters and can be easily attached to the
3-point linkage of the tractor.
The unique quick-change system allows you to quickly and easily convert the machine from a
brushing machine to a decompating machine.
Tickle Harrow
The Tickle Harrow will be used for
leveling of the rubber/sand on an
artificial pitch. Because of this the water
discharge shall be recovered. The Tickle
Harrow can also be used for artificial pitch
fibers which disappeared and upright
them to the surface again.
The Tickle Harrow can be adjusted
exactly to ensure correct depth. The
adjustment happens through air tires
which are included in the shipment. The
Tickle Harrow consists of 3 frames
mounted through springs. These frames
can be assembled underneath the frame
of the Bristly Power.
The top link from the Tickle Harrow
will be replaced by the chain which is
added to the delivery. Otherwise there
will be too much pressure onto the air
tires when the brush unit drives over
uneven areas (for example driving up or
driving down the field).
When the depth is adjusted, the raisearms from the tractor must be
attached. (The raise-arms from the
tractor aren’t allowed to sink during
driving.)

Goal Transport Wheels
During the relocation of junior or senior goals, damage could occur to the pitch fibers which may
not be visible to the naked eye. By utilizing the Goal Transport Wheels to relocate the goals,
damage to the pitch will be drastically reduced. These air filled tires provide a comfortable manner
to transport the goals and also prevent damage of the pitch by the corners of the goal.
Goalstabilisator
To ensure that the junior goals remain in their position during competitions and games, we have
developed the “Goal Stabilizer”. These weights can be positioned on the rear side of the goal
thereby ensuring that the goal remains upright when hit by a ball or a gust of wind. The goal
stabilizer weighs 40 kilos when completely filled up. This will allow an adult person to hang
from the cross bar without the risk of the goal tipping over.
Infill Measuring Tool
The thickness of the infill layer is essential for a long life of your artificial turf.
The proper thickness of your infill layer protects your synthetic turf fibers against damage.
Artificial pitches are ideal for intensive use because they are no longer seasonal. Summer and
winter, spring or fall, each season can be played on artificial turf. The infill thickness is reduced
by time, by compacting and material movement. The upper part of the fiber, which is
unprotected by the absence of the infill layer will wear out faster than desired. The artificial
turf could be damaged beyond repair. Often repairs, through to a thin layer of infill, are not
covered by the warranty of the supplier.
The infill measure is important for guaranteed quality as to playing properties. When the
artificial pitch is delivered, the infill will be even and have an ideal thickness. The playing
properties will then be fully realized. As the field is being used, the infill material will move
compact or disappear. An example in football is the area near the penalty spot, the goal area
and the area near the corner flag.
To obtain high quality playing properties and to ensure the fiber to be protected against early
damage, frequent measuring of the infill layer is necessary. The Rolugro-infill measure is easy
to use and the measurements indicate exactly where the infill layer needs maintenance.

Tired of walking around with a backpack blower? Irritated by the noise it makes? The Vento
Silent is a blower which needs to be pushed. It is easily attached to the front of the tractor or
to push forward by hand. What could be more satisfying than blowing every leaf or stick on
the artificial pitch into a neat "ready to compost" pile, all while sitting down! And what if you
could use it in combination with a brushing machine behind your tractor? That makes it even
more interesting.
Technical information:
The Vento Silent has noise levels of less than 84db. At this level ear protection is not normally
required. The lightweight aluminum impeller produces an air velocity of up to 230 km/h. This
innovative design utilizes inlet and outlet silencers. The air flow may also be diverted to blow
forwards if required.
