A word from the Board...
Board of Commissioners
As springtime awakens in the Park District, we have so many recreational options to choose
from. Tennis, boating, hiking, swimming, playgrounds, outdoor movies, concerts at
Steppingstone Waterside Theatre, family events, to name a few. Steppingstone's outstanding
sailing program introduces youngsters to boating in away that is fun and rewarding. New
this summer is Green Fleet Racing Team offered to our more seasoned Opti sailors. Our
waterfront also offers classes for adults, dinner cruises to City Island and kayak tours. Families
can enjoy our Programs in the Parks events or our state-of-the-art Parkwood Family Aquatic
Center. Our extraordinary Camp Parkwood, introduces two new programs: a new junior travel
program for older campers and optional bus transportation. Visit our website at
www.greatneckparks.org. where you can find the latest information. Whatever you choose,
there is always something GREAT waiting for you in the Great Neck Park District! See you in
the parks!
