NCCC Calhoun County Corvette Show and Back to the Bricks Kick Off were two special shows, which found the DJ Racing team talking Corvettes and parts. Corvette Hospitality Race Weekend was once again fun and exciting. Corvette owners got to see exciting racing, guest speakers and Corvette friendship. Everyone had a great time. Above: Flint Corvette Club at the DJ Racing shop having Corvette Fun!! Americas Corvette Corvette show displayed 250 of the best Corvettes in the area and the ultimate in vendors and other attractions. The picturesque Pine Knob Country Club was the ultimate in show atmosphere. Our Racecar display was a big hit for the show, and the previous day we help host a trackday for many participates at the nearby racetrack. Back to the Bricks show in Flint, MI sported 130,000 spectators and 35,000 exhibiting cars. In 2011 promoters expect even more. The team is very approachable and it is an excellent opportunity to answer technical questions thrown their way from spectators. Questions are always centered around what products we use, how to make their car stop faster or how to make it go faster. Posters and giveaways are all part of the display. Driver autograph sessions can last up to 2 hours and gives the drivers an opportunity to meet everyone first hand. Racing - 2010 Racing Season Corvette Central and Swain Tech Coatings Join Team for Support in 2010 Corvette Central In the 1970’s, the Corvette hobby was much different than it is today. It was a time of swap meets, not catalogs or internet buying power. It was a time of new soft bumpers, catalytic converters and modest horsepower. Swain Tech Coatings provides high performance engine coatings and industrial coatings to solve the problems of wear, heat, friction and corrosion. Their high performance coatings include ceramic thermal barriers, dry film lubricants, ceramic exhaust coatings, oil shedding coatings and several other coatings to improve the performance and/or durability of high performance parts. In addition to their high performance division, they also have an extensive industrial division offering a variety of engineered coatings. Piston coatings, exhaust coatings, ceramic coatings, carbide coatings, metal coatings, polymer coatings, PTFE coatings, hard anodize (hardcoat), and thin hard coatings are some of the coatings that they can apply. It was also a time when new Corvette parts were scarce and most Corvette owners spent time sifting through used parts at swap meets. It was then that Jerry Kohn, a Corvette enthusiast from Michigan, was searching out much needed parts for a 1958 Corvette. He soon found that the parts he needed were either unavailable, of poor quality or overpriced. Industry and high performance engine builders call on Swain Tech Coatings to solve their problems involving wear, chemical corrosion, lubrication, temperature, electrical conductance or resistance, low or high friction, and the rebuilding of worn or mismachined parts at a fraction of the delivery time of new replacement parts. In March of 2001, we moved the administrative offices, order fulfillment and warehouse operations into a new 40,000 square foot facility. Our manufacturing facility remained in downtown Sawyer where it started. In 2004, we added an additional 11,500 square feet to the warehouse and a new 25,000 square foot manufacturing facility adjoining our main building, putting the entire operation in one location for the first time in 30 years! Corvette Central produces six generation specific parts catalogs and an accessory catalog, which features gifts and accessories for every year Corvette. In the early 1970’s ceramic engineer Dan Swain developed the first successful ceramic thermal barrier coating for internal engine use. Dan and his ceramic engineering brothers perfected this technology in both their own NASCAR modified and with leading NASCAR Winston Cup teams. Today, Swain Tech is widely recognized as the premier coating company. Swain Tech’s coatings achieve power and durability results that simply would not be obtainable without Swain’s coatings. The seven catalogs total over 1000 full color pages listing over 45,000 parts.company that specializes in Corvette aluminum radiators. Now offering "Direct Fit" high performance aluminum radiators for C1-C5 Corvettes. We are pleased to have Dewitts Radiators and Patriot Performance as part of our DJ Racing Program. Our racing success is not by chance, but rather by the use of quality products like these companies products. Thanks for your support. Thanks to all our fans, crew, sponsors and friends who are supporting us in this 2010 racing season. Danny Kellermeyer & All the D J Racing Team D. J.
