Operator uploads the firmware data from EFMS client to EFMS server. Both immediate and scheduled execution can be specified. EFMS server starts to distribute the firmware data and kick MFP to start the firmware update when the time coming. MFP will be into a firmware update mode and reboot automatically. (If MFP does not need to service operation. ) © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 7 Remote Firmware Update Target Model eB3 V1.1 or later Communication Interface Name (original) Data Transfer method Start trigger Notification method -> “FTP-MIB” -> FTP -> MIB trigger -> MIB trap Firmware file structure - Firmware data as USB update can be used. - Zip archived file which is packed as same structure as USB stick. ->Detail is in next page. - Zip archived file which is packed flat structure. ->Detail is in next page. - Individual appropriate files can be specified. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 8 Remote Firmware Update 2 types of an archive file structure detail Z IP / m entusb2.o /5520C _6530C dlFirm W are_5520C _6530C firm Im age0.bin hdd.bin T430M W W .xxx T430SLG W W .xxx T430FW W .xxx /2820C _3530C dlFirm W are_2820C _3530C firm Im age0.bin hdd.bin T450M W W .xxx T450SLG W W .xxx *1 When a zip file has folder (s), the files must be stored into Firmware Particular Model folder. (same as Firmware update) This is required for the cloning function (Address Book Copy). 726~730 Set to matching your environment. (If you use a proxy ) The proxy settings will be required to enable the cloning function For eB2. Please configure a proxy to communicate with EFMS server. 3834 Code 702 726 Set to as you need. This is for Addressbook/Template/FCode cloning on eB3. EFMS can support both configuration. For example, when "Address Book" is chosen, and [Execute] button is pushed, the password input dialog is appeared. If you do not set encrypted mode, please click [OK] without password. EFMS automatically tries to clone on the non encrypted transfer mode. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 31 Counter Reporting A lot of improvement from V4.0 is implemented into Counter reporting feature. - Improvement of input checks in Report SelectionReporting window - Improvement of Counter list view alignment and sort order change by clicking column header - Improvement of chart view - Improvement of monthly cut-off - Improvement of counter type names The counter type names are simplistically displayed. E.g. Print all (all, all, all, all) -> Total Print (total) Print all (b/w,all,all,all) -> Total Print (b/w) © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 32 Counter Reporting - Improvement of order of counter types displayed in columns The counter type names are displayed in the order prescribed whenever the counter report is created. - Improvement of department counter report The department name and the code are separately displayed in each individual column - The monthly counter report for the current month can be exported. - A new report format named "combined counter" is added. The existing report format in V4.0 named "each counter" is also available. ->Details are in next page. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 33 Counter Reporting Improving reporting function Newly support Monthly (month-end based) / Monthly(cut-off based) combined counter Same as the current combined counter of Daily time-frame in V4.0 - Fixed the sequence to sort the counter items. - Change the name of counter item Print All (all, all, all, all) => Total Print (Total) (Color mode, Size, Media type, Page mode) Combination of condition of supporting the combined counter (by Department, by Device) Counter Type Counter Time frame Counter Interval Accumulation Daily Current Accumulation Monthly (last monthly) Date Last Monthly (cut-off based) Date support combined counter for V4.0 Additional combined counter for V 4.1 Last Difference Monthly Current From (mm.yyyy) to (mm.yyyy) Last XX months Monthly (cut-off based) Current From (mm.yyyy) to (mm.yyyy) Last XX months © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 34 Counter Reporting Combined counter by department. This sorting function is supported with report template. You can obtain a monthly report by this function automatically. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 35 Database Backup/Restore Manual backup and restore function is implemented on EFMS 4.1. - This function is configurable from GUI. - The backup function can execute by manual or on schedule. - The restore function can only manually restore the data. Configuration - This function uses a pg_dump/restore tool bundled with postgreSQL RDBMS. Almost cases, installer can detect the tools location and set it to the server.cfg. But if an intaller can’t detect with some reason, user must edit the server.cfg file by himself. Server.cfg entry is “Database.Install.Path”. Please describe as follows. Database.Install.Path=C:\%ProgramFiles%\PostgreSQL\8.2 (Underlined part must be modify to correspond to your environment) © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 36 Database Backup/Restore Target for backup When file overwrite is enabled: All of DB data. E.g. Device info, counter, log, report and so on. When file overwrite is disabled: © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 37 Database Backup/Restore Database Backup/Restore feature is in <Tools> menu (Clent information) © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 38 Database Backup/Restore Automatic backup can be execute by daily, weekly and monthly and time. User must specify the output location. It’s not necessary to specify with UNC format. It needs a path from server side point of view. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 39 Database Backup/Restore Manual backup and restore (from client side) User select the backup file and click [Start] button. If client is connected to EFMS server, client waits 10 minutes, and disconnects. Server starts backup process after disconnecting. Backup process returns immediately because it uses shadow data backup. But restore process makes user wait till all data is restored. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 40 Data Cleanup EFMS 4.1 deletes over due data stored in database. Due date is … Daily counter – over 3 month + 1 day Monthly counter – over 15 month + 1 month Log data – over 3 month log data (Cloning Log, F/W Update Log, DB backup Log and Alert Log ) Why 3+1 for daily and 15+1 for monthly ? EFMS must show 3 month daily and 15 month monthly difference counter. The +1 records must need to calculate a 1st day difference counter. For Daily © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 41 Data Cleanup For Monthly Time of deletion EFMS server deletes the data when starting a first day of month. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 42 Data Cleanup Log data export EFMS automatically clean up over due data, so counter data and log data will be removed. Answer - For counter data User must export a csv format report. - For log data User must set enable an automatic rolling log export. © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 43 Data Cleanup Log export When [Log export] is checked, EFMS server automatically starts to export a log data before data clean up, and it is stored into specified location. Automatic log export Manual log export © TOSHIBA TEC CORPORATION CONFIDENTIAL 44 End Thank you for your attention!
