* Sunday, April 12, 2015 WALK FOR KIDS 2015 Dear Friends: Imagine 7,000 people walking in support of children with critical illnesses and their families. A day filled with hope, laughter, family, friends and togetherness—everyone gathered for one purpose—to raise funds and awareness for the programs of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California (RMHCSC). For more than thirty years, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times—a program of RMHCSC— has provided camp programs for children with cancer and their families. It is our philosophy that love, care, attention, and above all else, friendship transforms lives and leads to healthy outcomes. Camp provides families with the unique opportunity to pause, smile, connect with others who are facing the same challenges, and renew a sense of hope. At the same time, children develop critical social/emotional skills that are often underdeveloped in patients and siblings who miss out on peer to peer interactions during years of treatment in their formative years. To achieve these results, Camp relies heavily on its network of volunteers and donors. We know we can’t negate the impact of chemotherapy or reduce the pain that comes with treatment, but we can offer children fighting cancer the chance to experience personal growth and support their healing. Help us continue to provide the best programs for these children by becoming a sponsor of our 2015 Walk for Kids. At the 2014 Walk for Kids, we had more than 7,000 walkers at Exposition Park and raised more than $1 million to support RMHCSC programs, including $330,000 for Camp. The event received 1.1 million media impressions by partners such as the Los Angeles Times, KTLA 5 News, KABC News Radio, Radio Disney, Clear Channel Outdoor media, K-Earth and 97.1 KLSX. As you can see from the enclosed information, we offer a comprehensive recognition package. We are committed to providing maximum return on your investment and would be happy to create a customized package to meet your specific needs. On behalf of Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times and the children and families we serve, thank you. Your support allows us to improve the lives of children and families living with cancer. Sincerely, Sarah E. Orth Executive Director Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times WALK FOR KIDS TM WHY BECOME A SPONSOR? SERVE your community by actions, not words.
