Scottish Ale | (Beginner) | 1 Thursday March 5 (5-9)
This quilt has a definite masculine feel! Scottish Ale is a stunning quilt made from the gorgeous ombre
shaded fabrics in the Serenity Collection by EE Schenck. Only four fabrics are used - the ombre does all the
work, making this pattern both contemporary and traditional. Mike made this sample and is ready to lead
you through the process. Kits are only $98 to make this 73 x 90 quilt. Pattern included in kit.

Kaleidoscope Runner | (Beginner) | 1 Saturday February 14 (12-5)
The little 13 x 23 foundation-pieced classic by MH Designs will look so cute on your wall or on a stand. This
beginner paper piecing class will get you off in the right direction as you begin your paper-piecing journey. Merle teaches you the process and tools necessary for successful paper piecing and the Kaleidoscope Runner is just the first step.

Choose to make the original Professional Tote or the new Mini. The Mini Professional Tote Pattern is a
smaller version packed with organizational features such as 10 pockets, including a secure padded free
standing zippered pocket in the lining big enough to hold your tablet. Outside are 2 patch pockets and an
additional zippered pocket along with 2 pleated side pockets on each end of the bag.

Its Spring Again | (Beginner) | 1 Saturday March 7 (11:30-4:30)
Its Spring Again by Wooden Bear is one of a series of twelve, twelve-inch square little wallhangings.
Merle springs into action teaching you the basics of machine applique. Start with the background and
borders all assembled and you get right down to the basics of applique. Chances are you go home with a
completed top. This one is guaranteed to be a favorite.

Buggy Barn has a very unique and remarkable way of stacking, slashing, swapping and assembling fabrics to create this wonderful Crazy Cat quilt, finishing to 47 x 61 without borders. (Extra fabric for a piano
key border is included in the kit!) From the Book “UnDeniably Crazy”, Crazy Cats is sure to be the real
"cat’s meow” for every cat lover. Mike will guide you through the ins and outs, making this tricky pattern
as easy as pie!

Katie’s Club | Modern Quilt Blocks | Jan-Dec 1st Sat each month @ 9:30 am
Enjoy a monthly get together where you can laugh, learn and be inspired by creative ideas and new techniques as
you create your very own “Modern Building Blocks” quilt, modern but also traditional. Kits, done in Moda Bella solids are all tied up and ready for your new adventure.
Katie also frequently features new quilt projects shown first exclusively to group members. Each month receive a
free fat quarter for bringing a recent show and tell project or treats to share with the group. Receive 20% off any

Clothesline Club 2015 | First Tuesdays @ 6pm or Wednesdays @ 10 am
Come join the Clothesline Club for 2015. Our group is excited to be doing two projects for the first 6 months. The
first project, pictured left, is Aunt Grace “Simpler Sampler” with fabric by Judie Rothermel and pattern by
Vicki Bellino. Finished size is 64 x 71. Antique to Heirloom Jelly Roll Quilts book by Pam & Nicky Lintott will be
offered for the first 6-month session as well. Each month Clothesline Club leader, Diane, shows new techniques,
tools and the some of the latest in the quilting world. Mark your calendars for the first Tuesday evening of each
month at 6 PM or the following Wednesday morning at 10 AM, January 6 & 7, February 3 & 4, March 3 & 4 and April
7 & 8. Your $10 yearly membership includes food, fun and a 20% discount on any purchases the day of club meetings.

Join the Stitcher’s Club meeting the third Friday each month at 10 AM, January 16, February 20, March 20 and April
17. The 2015 projects are decided by the group at the December 2014 meeting.

Speedy Needle Embroidery Club | 2nd Saturday @ 10 am
The Calico Hutch invites you to join the Speedy Needle Embroidery Club, organized especially for embroidery enthusiasts everywhere. One of the exciting new projects is Imaginary Day by Smith Street Designs pictured left. Other
fun projects are shown each month.
Janet Hintermeister and Jessica Steinbach will share ideas and embroidery techniques and answer questions you
may have about the embroidery process, give away door prizes, show new techniques and products and keep you
up to date on the latest in embroidery. The Speedy Needle Embroidery Club meets on the second Saturday of each
month at 10 AM. Stop in the store, or sign up when you come to visit. The cost is only $10 for twelve months and
includes a 20% discount card toward purchases the morning of meetings. Mark your calendars for this fun-filled

Purchase any of the five Civil War block of the month kits, Freedom Rings or Southcott and you are a member of the “Civil Warriors” meeting the fourth Wednesday
evening of the month at 6 PM. Free fat quarters for completed blocks and a chance to win a free backing for a quilt. Bonnie showcases civil war projects and guides you
through the journey of making your very own Civil War Commemorative quilt. The Civil War quilts feature reproduction fabrics identical to pattern requirements as well
as stories surrounding the Civil War era. Civil War Journal focuses on a different aspect of the war , the children of the 1860’s. Some joined the army and fought as soldiers. Others took on adult roles at home, farming the land or helping the family survive while men were away at battle. Peace & Unity is the last and final addition to
the lineup. Kits now available.

Bernina Software 7 Mastery Class | December 13 & January 10 (1-4)
Janet Hintermeister provides information on various techniques supported by Bernina 7 Embroidery software, including lettering designs,
embroidery monogramming, auto embroidery, bitmap artwork conversion and other techniques supported by this wonderful software! All
you bring to class is a computer with the software installed, the dongle
which comes with the software, and a mouse for your computer.

2015 “Free” Block of the Month
“Stars to the Nines” 100 x 112 finished size
Our 2015 BLOCK OF THE MONTH begins Saturday, January 17 or Tuesday January 20 with a gorgeous new “Stars to the Nines” design.
Block of the Month meets the third Saturday (8:30–9AM) or the third Tuesday (4:30 -6PM). The $20 enrollment includes your January block as well
as the “Stars to the Nines” booklet pattern for each of the month’s blocks and the year-end finishing pattern. Receive each block of the twelve
blocks FREE when you bring in your completed block from the prior month and attend a brief presentation. If you cannot attend either presentation
or do not finish your block, you pay only $5, plus tax, for your next block. Meet new friends, enjoy special sale items available only to block of the

In an effort to make every class the best possible experience for everyone:

Payment of class fees must accompany registration. Please call us if you wish to pay by credit card.

Once you have paid and registered for class, please come in and pick up a class supply list. Please purchase and assemble all required supplies before class.

Calico Hutch offers a 20% discount on all supplies purchased for classes.

If you choose to mail in your payment and want us to mail you a class supply list, please enclose with your payment a self-address post-paid envelope.

For common courtesy to the teacher and other students, please arrive early to set up your machine, organize all required class supplies and be ready to start at the designated time.
Late arrivals disrupt valuable class instruction.

Provided we receive seven days notice, we offer a full refund as a store credit if you cannot attend a class. A store credit is given if we cancel a class due to low enrollment.

Familiarity with your sewing machine is a requirement.

